When I was little my music class had an Um Jammer Lammy poster, & the more I think about it the stranger it feels, because they had no Parappa posters as if they had no idea Parappa existed, & also because where I lived, our version of the game featured a stage that literally takes place in Hell, thus it has a Teen rating, as opposed to Parappa 1 & 2, which are more popular & child-friendly.

I always felt UJL's Cutscenes are very underappriciated. They are so crazy and over the top and the frequent lammy reaction shots of whatever is going on really sell it. I wish there was an animated series that captures this weird charme. I image something along the lines of xavier renegade angel which took the weirdness and awkwardness of PS2 era cutscenes as an inspiration

The fact about parappa translating to "Paper thin" isn't true. You can put "パラッパ" (parappa's japanese name" into google translate and it will turn up nothing. I do not know where this came from, but it isn't true. It's just his name.
