After I got out of the Air Force (2017), I've told people that the military is the most organized and unorganized entity ever created. If something NEEDS (and thats subjective too) to get done, it will be done quickly. Anything outside of that....yeah we'll get to it. Contractors also dont need to be paid so much honestly. I worked in aircraft MX and there were plenty of contractors I came across that did NOT deserve the pay they got, let alone the job itself. There is so much BS (a lot of it unnecessary) to get things done and a lot is tied to budget.

@@onlybetasgetoffendedbystri8030because the entire American Economy and the preferential treatment the USA receives as well as the dollar being the world reserve currency and all the benefits that brings literally depend on the USA’s partnerships and foreign deals. The American economy is actually ingenious!! The systems the US has woven into the world economy literally gives you your way of life. It’s incredibly clever! And benefits everyone. It’s a shame the average American just doesn’t understand it. To put it into simple terms, America spends about 1% of its GDP on its overseas security and international partnerships. If you stopped that tomorrow, your economy would shrink by way more than 1% and you’d lose much of your economic control over world markets.

US income isn’t gdp, it’s tax receipts. That amounts to $4 trillion dollars of late, and 1/4 of that money is spent on debt interest payments. So the US has $3 trillion leftover in real money terms. So you are spending 1/3 of all the money the government takes in on the military! That’s insane

You cannot argue the US Military doesn't care about skin color when you also note that they are going out of their way to fund HBCU's. If what they cared about was just results (which is what they should have as their priority) then they would fund things based on merit alone.

If everything in this video is correct you would think the US would have 30 aircraft carriers by now. Lots of funds going to projects we don't know about.🤔

I was just thinking of the Ukraine problem (and as an European, is disgusted at the blocking of military aid by Hungary). Could both USA and EU reluctance of giving more funds for Ukraine be overcome at the political level by making supports a loan, where Ukraine pays it back after the war is over (over considerable length of time to ease things)?

I mean that is true in a larger sense but not for any altruistic reasons of course. The US is interested in global stability because of the global economy. The US is the one that benefits the most when there is stability from all the major powers. That's why they invest so much in foreign military bases because like it or not, all the military money comes back in droves by keeping the US dollar the dominant global currency. All that global influence equals real power and leverage that the US enjoys over many nations across the globe. The US has opted to enforce soft power on everyone with economic dependency. China has learned to do the same thing and is trying to create their own strangle hold in Africa.

USA defence budget is really top in the world. What is more than the defence budget is actually interest paid for the gov debt! Imagine if USA has no budget deficits, then they can easily double their defence spending. As of now, they need to pay a crazy amount of interest. US' adversaries just need to sit and wait for US to financially ruin itself eventually
