Just 5 to 10 minutes per day just 2 months you will almost master the sports can start to play and watch the games Cricket has 3 different format T20 = 3 to 3½ hour long game with 2 innings most entertainment ,fun ,modern, popular, youths favorite format it is current of world cup 🌎 played in usa now only t20 format as professional league's ODI format serious recommend not for beginner's popular than t20 but soon t20 will take spot Test = the usual American stereotype of cricket 5day long game it's original and early version of cricket 🏏 currently it's in rapid decline and favorite for old generation still test match happen but compering modern cricket with test is just nonsense has saying Rome is the world's capital 😅😅😅

Its nice he sent the basics of cricket to all american or anyone doesn't know about cricket but that's actually more than that! He did mentioned the common ways to get out like baseball but there are actually a many he didn't mentioned. LBW, hit wicket, obstructing the field, stumped, timed out, handled ball and hit the ball twice. The ones he mentioned was bowled, caught and run out. so basically there are 10 ways to get out in cricket! Also, there is a super over if the score is tied and similar to baseball but one over each team and whoever defend or able to chase down the total wins. However if the scores are tied again, they have keep going until there is a winner just like baseball

The wides are even more valuable than just the extra run, the bowling team also has to bowl it again. So team USA essentially got three extra balls, as well as the extra runs. Really helps to see just what the opposition is planning to bowl, and react accordingly. Loved you in the commentary box too Jomboy! Say hello to Finchy for me!

Another important point to note. When the batter moves before the ball has left the hand of the bowler, then the wide lines also move as per the current position of the batter. The Pakistani batter kept moving to his right to get closer to the line of where he expected the ball will be, but it was tremendous skill by the USA bowler to spot the move in his mid-jump and bowl the ball even wider.

USA was awarded a wide because the batter did not move towards the ball and the ball was beyond the wide line whereas the Pakistani batter had moved towards the ball so it'd be considered that the ball was within his hitting zone. It has nothing to do with decepting the umpire.
@philipmcniel4908
@philipmcniel4908 Ай бұрын
How does that work? I'm used to baseball where there's a defined strike zone that doesn't move left or right no matter where the batter stands (it's always over the plate), and the batter has to refrain from swinging at a pitch for it to be called a ball. In cricket, is a ball called a wide even if the batsman swings at it, and does the batsman's position determine whether it's called wide or not?
@anuragsharma9881
@anuragsharma9881 Ай бұрын
@@philipmcniel4908 basically if the batsman stays at a normal position, the blue line is considered the wide line. As long as the ball is on it or to the safe side of it, its not a wide. However, if a batsman moves across before the ball is bowled, the wide line actually moves with him. Let's say he moves a foot across, the wide line is now actually a foot to the other side of the blue line. The on-field umpire has to judge if the batsman moved too much or not.
@vikramvega
@vikramvega Ай бұрын
@@philipmcniel4908 Whether a batter swings or not has no effect on a wide call. You should get into SA20 (South african cricket league) and then IPL (the biggest cricket league out there) as well. IPL has some interesting extra rules so jumping right into it might be a bit complicated, but SA20 is the way to go if you're trying to get into league cricket. Then of course there's the Major Cricket League in USA.
@BroadwayJoe99
@BroadwayJoe99 Ай бұрын
@@sabertrat There's T20 going on all year long, it just depends on where it's warm at the moment. After the Northern Hemisphere season (the MLC & MiLC, the English competitions, and also Lanka PL in Sri Lanka) ends, the Caribbean Premier League has its season. Then comes the Southern Hemisphere season, with the Big Bash (Australia), Super Smash (NZ), the SA20, ILT20 (UAE), and Bangladesh Premier League all playing between December and February. FWIW, I tried to place those comps in order of which starts first. I think I have it right, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. And those competitions are followed by the IPL and Pakistani Super League in the NH spring months. If there's one thing I'd love to see, it'd be a documentary about an individual or small group of players, and how they travel the world from one franchise T20 league to another over the course of a calendar year. Say, a person who starts their year in the Big Bash or Super Smash, then plays in the IPL or PSL, the Vitality Blast/The Hundred/County Championship or MLC, and concludes with the CPL. That'd be a fascinating watch.

Loving the cricket breakdown vids! Just wanted to comment to suggest a fun potential breakdown that happened in the recent Aus vs Eng game during the 2nd last ball of Australia's innings. It's a really cool little tactical gem that might go unnoticed to the less knowledgeable/observant cricket watcher (myself included until it was pointed out elsewhere): Cummins is on strike. He's a bowler so his sole goal is to get Wade (the more accomplished finisher) on strike for the final delivery. He completely misses the ball but Wade at the other end starts sprinting on what looks like a suicide run. At this point, it looks like a complete mixup with both Wade and Cummins at the same end. Only after Wade meets Cummins at the same end does Cummins begin his doomed run, and is easily run out. But Wade is now on strike. What looked to many like a desperate mixup was actually Cummins sacrificing his own wicket in a very smart manner to guarantee that Wade, the designated finisher, is in position and not run out. He stays at his end while Wade is attempting the run so that if the batter end stumps are broken, Cummins is considered out and not Wade (since they haven't crossed yet). Once it's clear that the fielding team are targeting the bowler end stumps, then Cummins crosses so when those stumps are broken, Cummins is now considered out. A really smart little passage of play to highlight, even if it didn't actually amount to that much in the end.

usa having a right and left handed batter in the superover is the main difference. when the ball is reverse swinging, Amir bowled those 2 fantastic overs to the right handers, which is very lethal but very controlled skill, but in the superover he faced a lefty and a left hander reverse swinging to a left hander is very tough because any mistake and it goes for wide+4. so, Amir overcompensated by trying to bowl on leg stump which led to all the wides.
@anuragsharma9881
@anuragsharma9881 Ай бұрын
PAK had a left-right hand combination too, just that Fakhar Zaman never got the chance to take a strike, which is where they missed a trick clearly. They should have started the super over with Fakhar taking the strike

Theres is nothing complex in cricket😂only a batsman who scores runs by hitting the ball to various parts of the pitch and should run from one end wickets to other end wickets to get 1 run and also he can score by hitting the ball over the boundary line of the pitch without touching the ground gives batting team 6 runs or if he manages to hit ball into the boundary line touching the ground before it reaches the boundary it counts as 4 runs for batting teams like this in t20 format each team can have 120 balls which is diided into 20 overs where each over consists of 6 balls and once the score is made by either the amount of runs and boundaries bating team set target should be chased by the bowling teams afterwards whoever could chase or restrict by scoring more runs is winner thats it😂cheers and the wide ball is given when the ball is out of reach to the batsman as shown up here in the video out side those lines for a single wide balll bowled by bowler 1 run is given to the batting team and nobe ball is called when bowler oversteps the line where he should stanf and bowl from even for that ball 1 run is etra and the ball next to noball is called freehit in which you can hit 6,4 or runs but even when people catch its not given out usually a bowling team can out batsmen by either hitting those wickets behind batsmen or by hitting the wickets while batsmen are running for a runnafter hitting the ball or by catching the ball hit by batsmen in the air without touching the ground each team has 11 players this is all about cricket 😂😂hope this helps🎉
