How use the Wii Tatacon Drum for osu! taiko (with bluetooth)

If you have the money for it, I recommend the PS4 Tatacon over this one. If you a cheap ass boy like me, you might want the cheaper Wii one Common problems: "I can't connect my wiimote with dolphin emulator" - This is the trick: You make sure you have your options on 'Real mote' (and have both checkboxes checked). Then, you press '1+2' simultaneously on your wiimote, which makes the lights flick. As they flick, you click on 'refresh' in your Dolphin Emulator, right after that, you press '1' on your wiimote (press 1 multiple times in a row). Try to repeat this a few times. While doing this make sure you do have a bluetooth connection. "osu doesn't recognize the wiimote, even though everything is done correctly" - Use an older wiimote. Maybe you have some family/friend with one laying around. It appears that newer wiimotes don't work. I asked peppy to look into this so maybe it's possible sometime later.

Hello, I was able to connect the wiimote to my pc and osu detects it, but my tatacon doesn't work at all. I can press 1 or 2 or A or B or use the d-pad on the wiimote in osu but whenever I try to hit notes with the Tatacon nothing happens. I got the official Tatacon from play-asia so I'm not sure what else to try.

Oh that's weird. I wouldn't know what to do to be honest. Are you sure that in the Dolphin options you have Wiimote 1 =Real Wiimote? Or does the Tatacon have a on/off button maybe? Does that wiimote work on a normal wii with normal nunchuck, so you know it's not the nunchuck port? That's all I can think of atm :( Try to mess around with as many things as possible

Yeah the wiimote works in dolphin and in osu, and as far as I know, theres no on and off button on the Tatacon, I'm using the Official Namco one. I don't have access to a wii, but I'm sure it may be the nunchuck port because I bought the wiimote used. I'll try exchanging the wiimote today and let you know how it goes. I bought the USB to Tatacon converter that you linked anyways, but I don't know when it'll get here so I'm just trying the bluetooth method for now.

BlueKewne of course but does the current version of osu recognise it? As far as I know osu's taikodrum connectivity support is pretty outdated

Does your PC have bluetooth? If so, the option should be easily found by only typing "Bluetooth" in the search bar. However, I'm not sure if it works the same for computers in Japanese language. Maybe someone else knows you should ask around!

Wiimote and Tatacon are connected to Dolphin and work in games (with Dolphin bar). Osu! doesn't recognise the wiimote though.

AmouRaw - Végétalisme cru How 'new' is your wiimote? If it's from recent years it likely won't work, only old wiimotes seem to be recognisable by osu :(. Maybe you havr a friend with old wii who you could borrow from and test if it works.

@@swerro9978 found out what to do use WiinUSoft after you connect your wii remote and drum and connect it as a xbox controller and change its type to wii pro controller now joy to key reads input from drum and you can map it to any game

KirinzHub Not sure. Considering peppy made osu connectable to wiimote back when only normal ones were out there, I think the best option would be to use a old/normal wiimote. Try borrowing a wiimote from friend/family for 1 day and test it yourself is what I would suggest

Does your wiimote not respond? Or the emulator? Press refresh, wait like a minute after that (if you open the emulator too quickly it might crash after pressing refresh indeed). So just press refresh... wait a good few minutes... press refresh again - Does that help?

In windows 10 I have to do this: 1- Open windows bluetooth stack (don't try to connect there, but it HAVE to be openned and visible) 2- Push 1+2 on wiimote and hold (forever) 3- Push refresh in dolphin 4- Keep watching bluetooth stack, dolphin will remove wiimote (if u had sync it before), then it will find, then it will sync. This may take a bit so if wiimote stops re-push buttons. the whole process takes about 30/40 seconds. Don't know why but if bluetooth stack is not openned it never connects.

Ouch, that sucks. Are you using an 'old' wiimote or a newer one? As far as I know osu only seems to catch older versions of the wiimote so if you or a friend have a wii from quite a number of years ago try that one.
