one common thing about the vault cleanings i do is that a lot of people tend to not know what stuff they actually have in their vault. while on the hunt for some destiny quizzes, i was linked to engram.blue, which has a vault quiz where you can see how well you know your own vault. and then i stepped up the stakes.

That's why this would make a great tool to teach people what guns to keep. If you can't recall what rolls you'd keep/use, then they prob aren't worth keeping/using. Especially if you've never gone back to try them.

i'm thinking about really clearing my vault in a big way except for the really sentimental stuff to revitalize my interest in this game. my inventory just feels so bloated and overwhelming to come back to after being so lukewarm to the game and hardly playing lately.

I got my vault down from about 450 to 120. Would recommend. A tip: You don't have to do it all in one go. I deleted maybe a hundred-ish weapons at once, then deleted another 10-20 at the end of every week for a few weeks in a row. It starts to become easy to just toss stuff out because everyone always thinks, "Well what if I need it?" But once you've asked yourself that question every week for two months in a row for the same gun, you realize that "What if" is never going to happen, or at the very least the SUPER niche use case for a gun isn't worth keeping it around and just using something that is 95% as good in the niche situation but is also useful in way more situations.

If you are at 1810 on all your most used gear, keep one or two items for infusion per slot. Plus one per slot per character for armor. You shouldn't have more than 20 items for infusion

Delete your vault challenge: you can only keep what you can hold on your three characters, nothing else can stay. Vault must be completely empty when done. DO IT and show everyone how little you really need in this game to be successful!

It's called: clean your vault. You do not have perfect rolls and you likely have an abundance of trash filling up your vault. Take 20 minutes to clean it, and I guarantee you'll go down to like 300-400 slots.

I played exclusively endgame pvp/pve and had 0 items in my vault. Spent a few hours getting all my armour into builds that maxmised resuing pieces and just kept my favourite/actually used 30 weapons in each slot. Inspired by Gjerda's video who is another end game player who did the same thing.

Sup Datto, I've been patrolling destinations lately like Europa and EDZ to get better at using my skimmer and to just mindlessly shoot some baddies and it is so clear that some of these destinations need some sort of enemy re-work because my god just having small packs of the easiest enemies in the game roaming about the same as it was when Destiny 2 released is absurd considering how OP we are now. Even Neomuna is easy to me and I'm just starved looking for enemies in the few spots where orange bars gather (While every other Destiny player seemingly has the same idea as me). These destinations should be packed with enemies who at least pose a little bit of challenge. Keep the Cosmodrone and Nessus as they are for new lights but some of the others (Especially Europa) need an upgrade, badly.
