I just found an interesting bit of history of Taiwan, or Formosa as it was called, on SandRhoman History channel. The Dutch were the first to bring Chinese settlers to Formosa in the 1640s. Later the remannts of the Ming Dynasty, fleeing the Manchu Qing Dynasty under Koxinga, drove the Dutch out with the help of the Chinese settlers and aborigines. I had no idea Taiwan had previously served as a refuge to the remnants of a previous dynasty.

Soviet did everything to destroy the original culture we, Ukrainians, has always had (history, music, literature, and even our national costumes). @@MaximusCommodus What nonsense are you talking about? Yes, we considered Russians our brothers until they came to kill, rape, and rob us! And now what, should we surrender to the mercy of murderers?

Many have left since 2014. Since the beginning of the war, part of the civilian population from the territories destroyed by Russia left for Russia, the majority for Ukraine, Europe. This is true. From the territories where there is no war - almost no one left for Russia. Many went because they had no choice. What surprises you? Many people left because of the war. Until Russia came with weapons, no one left anywhere much.

Russia sends children to war, 17-18 years old. Like Hitler. They clearly have problems with meat storms. Russia in 2022 made a forced mobilization of 350 thousand ordinary people, in total since the beginning of the war Russia has sent more than 1.3 million to Ukraine, and now according to Russia 450-550 thousand are fighting in Ukraine. Where did the rest go?

Around 50,000 a month according to Putin. So the real number is about 25-30k.

@@CologneV6_2.3Those numbers are referring to casualties, not dead. The losses are generally higher on the Russian side, sometimes as high as 8-1, as is the death rate among the casualties due inferior casevac & medical care..🧐
