Can i just say.. I became pregnant at 19 in September of 1990... The father wanted nothing to do with me or baby... "Hold on" got me through the hardest time in my life during that pregnancy..I can proudly say that beautiful baby girl, is 30 and happily married... I love you guys..😊

I'm going to watch this video later, and I feel bad that I do this all the time, but I really need everyone's prayers. And right now, I have nowhere else to go for that but here.

Chynna - I’m so enjoying your channel! Thank you for your stories and your love for Christ. You are a true inspiration! I had my first baby in March of 1990 and in May of 1990 my husband walked out on us both. HOLD ON and my loved for Jesus Christ saved my life and got me through one of the darkest periods I’ve ever experienced.. I married in 1991 a wonderful man who has raised my daughter as his own - just celebrated 31 years together.!!!! God is good and so are you Chynna! Thank you and God bless you👑

I was one of the people who purchased your CD as soon as it came out. It really gave people a lot of hope back then. Now you give the ultimate hope in finding their savior Jesus.

It had been decades since I heard Wilson Phillips music but I just watched a random video of you singing live on Kelly Clarkson and was blown away at how solid your live harmonies are! I’m Becoming a fan all over again and the fact that you are a born again Christian is the icing on the cake. Thank you for your singing and your preaching! God bless! ❤

I have such great memories hearing “hold on” and “release me” when I was a young child. My mama use to religiously play your music &I remember her grabbing my hands and dancing to “hold on”.. your music was one of the sweetest memories with mama. She passed away in Jan of this year. I still listen to your music almost daily & shed a tear. Thank you girls 💕

You’re a great story teller Chynna. Hard work got Wilson Phillips to the top of the charts. I always turn up the volume when hold on comes on. I never tire of hearing it.

Release Me is very personal to me. I was desperately trying to leave a long term relationship. My co-worker walked into my office one day and said “Release me, just like the song.” That was the end of the relationship, at that very moment. I’ll never forget it.

I can still remember hearing "Hold On" when I was twelve. That song helped me a great deal with depression, which I've battled my whole life.

I loved that song “Release Me”! I actually improved my English while singing over and over “Release me” and “Hold On”! Also, it quite incredible that we are around the same age! God does really work an amazing way! ♥️🙏✝️

WILSON-PHILLIPS Songs got me through some of the toughest times in my life and gave me the boost I needed to to just keep on going no matter what. Thankful for the inspiration you received from above to write those songs.

absolutely wonderful history telling. Chynna and Billy both are extremely gifted raconteurs, so entertaining. Release Me is a truly beautiful song. In 1990 when it was a hit, I was in a post-relationship, loved her so much, one of those post-breakup things in which we were addicted (to each other), continued to see each other, each trying to turn the love around on our own terms, I was a Believer in Jesus, she was not at that time (although I realized afterward she was right at the door, if I had been more spiritually mature), so anyway, I went to see her one last time, determined to break up for good. Release Me came on, she gently asked "Can you release me Doug?" Later that evening when I did actually break up, I quietly mumbled "time to release me Diana." So the song is deeply embedded as I am sure Wilson-Phillips songs are for so many.

Your music came at a good time. It was positive happy music that was soon overtaken on the charts by angry sardonic grunge music which also was great music but was definitely not music to listen to to feel good. Your music was designed to feel good after listening to it. That is a gift
