I bought knock off Command hooks ($1/pkg. Dollar General) and hung them on the inside of my cupboard doors; bought wire rectangular wire baskets from Dollar Tree last week. I use these in the kitchen and the bathroom. For the broom closet, now a pantry, I bought an under-the-shelf white wire basket at Goodwill. Slides on to the shelf. Easy and inexpensive.

Nice if your drawers are deep. When I replaced my cabinets I didn’t realize that the new drawers would be more shallow than the previous. Had I known that early on I would have chosen different cabinets.

I can't put hooks inside my cabinet doors the shelves are right up against the door when you shut it there's no space so even if we tried it that would mean that we would have to make sure the stuff that's on the shelf is pushed back or otherwise the door will not shut tight.

I actually only do have 2 drawers in my 1949 house... and one is really a half width drawer. Because that's all the space I've even had, I have had to keep them organized. Hmmm... :)

I had the same issue in my previous home. I found a picnic utensil organizing basket at a 2nd hand store and kept the spoons, forks & knives in it on the counter nearest to our table, and my cooking knives and spatulas etc in my drawer. Sometimes the Dollar Tree has baskets similar to it.

Oh and for those seeing this, Dollar Tree has clear trays like you used in the drawers! They have clear, soft plastic in a variety of colors and hard plastic in a variety as well! Thin kind, rectangular kind and small square kind! Lots of options 😊

That’s just an opportunity to be super creative! Use the insides of your cabinets with hooks for extra storage, use any open wall for extra storage, add drawer bins to cabinets, all is not lost just because there’s only one drawer 💗
