I am a Christian and do not support the lgbt community. HOWEVER. This video is a great message to treat others as you would treat yourself. I have a few lgbt friends, and they know where I stand and how the Bible says it is wrong, but they also know that I love them. Jesus would not immediately condemn a man for being gay. Those discussions come with time, and they come peacefully when you’re kind. So, as a message to all Christian’s and others alike, be kind. Jesus spoke with equal grace and truth. Have grace on those around you, but speak truth to them, aka speak truth kindly.

He came not to condemn but to give eternal life. Your own sins put you in hell. Homosexuality is within the Bible a sin. Regardless. Jesus would show a homosexual the right way. He’d guide them. Not hate, that’s true. But he isn’t some hippie. He still has morals.

I totally agree, I wish it showed how Jesus would tell them to repent and believe in the gospel out of love ofc, it could have during that moment or after dinner. @jeremiahhall2726 күн бұрын
100% agree, however in reality it’s very difficult to say this and the person/couple be receptive of it. Remember, people don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care. You wouldn’t be wrong in your approach. But I think it’s important to approach w/ compassion and understanding before delivering the gospel. Make sure that a person is open to receiving/listening to your message. Because a message sent, but not received does the Kingdom no good.

@IsaacUsvat25 күн бұрын
@@jeremiahhall27 I totally agree, I wouldn't right away tell them about Christ but as I said If I got to know them and was able to have dinner with them, I'd share some testimonies in my life of how God healed my friend's neck who was going to be paralyzed if he didn't get a surgery by the age of 30 and talk about my own testimony about what God has done in my life. "And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death." Revelations 12:11. So if I had the opportunity before they got married then I'd share the gospel because God has made married sacred and shouldn't be defiled but ofc I'd be sensitive to the Holy Spirit. But God does say to preach the gospel to all creation, it also says to make disciples of all nations, so If I don't have the opportunity to see that person again, I'd share and preach my testimony and the gospel yk, but if they are going to be my neighbor, I'd love them and do my best to be a blessing to them. Also how often do we preach to those around us, we will always think to ourselves that I should do it another time to preach to them, I've gone through high school and have passed so many people and haven't preach the gospel to yk. "How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?" Romans 10:14. May we all live our lives seeking to do the will of God by praying without ceasing, being sensitive to the Holy Spirit! God Bless Brother!

If anything, it should be treated like one of the purity laws given to the children of Israel- like not eating certain foods. @gogmarinov7 жыл бұрын
Love rejoices in truth, not in evil. If I know something someone is doing is a source of hurt for them, to love them means to be caring by sharing this. People are trying to define love as "tolerate and encourage everything", or as "if it does not feel good it is not love", both are wrong. love takes a stand for the truth, even if the truth hurts.
@peppwoni2597 жыл бұрын
Gog Marinov well, as I said, I'm not religious, so I don't have to share "truths" with my gay neighbors.
@gogmarinov7 жыл бұрын
This is not about religion, the concept is much wider. Actually, we do share "truths" with people around us very often. Consider the following example: You find out that there is a connection between a certain food item and a very bad health condition. Now, you know that your neighbor is consuming it on a daily basis, which indicates that he is most probably not aware of the danger. You also know that he enjoys that food very much and he would not be happy to question the consuption, let alone stop. What does love do? It is ultimatively a question between long term vs. short term effects and if you are willing to invest time and nerve to bother doing it. If you see the point - well, this is how a Christian feels towards someone suffering (or about to be) because of his own desires and beliefs. The core idea is not belittleling or hating, rather testifying of a better way/solution/prevention. Of course, there is also a good way and a bad way to do it...
@peppwoni2597 жыл бұрын
Gog Marinov well, okay. I've considered and come to the conclusion that this is how a reasonable Christian would feel a long time ago. But because I don't believe what they are doing is wrong, I am not worried they would face harm for their decisions. So to me "love your neighbor" would mean tolerate them and accept them for what they are. This ties into my own personal beliefs and morals.
@peppwoni2597 жыл бұрын

I’m sorry I couldn’t find a quote in those exact words. I just woke up and I’m very tired, if I find any that pinpoint what you’re asking I’ll let you know! Also it’s important to know as that god loved and see’s everyone as equals, his love might not be SHOWN the same way based on everyone’s choices and actions. If someone does not follow god and pushes him away, he will not force you to love him, but he will still love you. He just might not show it as much. That’s why the bar for salvation is so incredibly low, you just have faith in Jesus and Strive to me more like him. Because god wants everyone to be saved. God does not force you to love him, he could make everyone love him, but he gave everyone a choice because we are tested every day. Any sin we make, if we believe in Jesus Christ and ask for forgiveness, that sin is taken away by the eyes of god. Hope this helps just a little, tell your friends I said hi! 🫶🏼

I do certainly believe religion should not be forced upon the individual, however, beliefs (definitely in morality) should be held in some responsibility upon the individual. Everyone should be free to love and live peacefully, however, sometimes that requires some type of force in order to let it happen. Nonetheless, there are religions that wish for more than just a private relationship. If someone were to be Christian, I don't think It'd be fair to suggest that their faith should be solely kept between them and God. Overall, I'm not entirely sure what you're insinuating because the way you phrased it is a bit confusing. If you'd like to elaborate, I'd love to listen.

The video was made to paint Jesus as character that he is not. In Revelation 3:19 Jesus says “As many as I love I rebuke and chasten, be zealous therefore and repent.” Jesus preached repentance always. He did not preach sinning freely. He also preached that marriage is between one man and one woman in Matthew 19, and he believed every word of the Old Testament including Leviticus 18:22. Another version of Jesus is not based on the Bible but on fantasy. May God bless this message to you.

Matthew Chapter 4 He also preached that marriage (and sex) is to be between one man and one woman. 4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, 5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? 6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. Matthew Chapter 19 May God bless this message to you.

Which of the Ten Commandments does it say to love everyone? That’s not one of them. Yes Jesus called us to love our neighbor as we love ourselves but we must also judge with a righteousness this isn’t us forcing a religion on someone it’s Just the TRUTH because it’s GODS WORD we must let others know about this cause we love them. LGBTQ is sin and they will perish if they do not repent but luckily for all of us we have a savior Jesus Christ ♥️

The Ten Commandments does call us to love everyone but he does not call us to romantically love everyone (you wouldn't want a 40 year old romantically loving a 5 year old or your father having romantic love for you and your siblings.....). There are different types of love. There is Agape= A sacrificial, self-giving love that is primarily concerned with the good of someone else. It is considered the highest form of love and is God's spiritual love toward humankind; Philia= Brotherly love (friendship). A deep, meaningful friendship between good friends, regardless of their gender.; Storge= Familial love. A natural, overflowing love between family members, such as parents, children, and siblings. It includes caring for one another, serving one another, and demonstrating affection.; and Eros= Romantic love. The love that should only be experienced between one man and one woman in a marriage covenant. The love that God calls us to have for everyone (regardless who) is Agape, the self-sacrificial love. That means we should be serving each other, caring for each other, kind to each other. With that being said, loving people does not mean condoning all of their actions. Quite the opposite. As some people pointed out already in this comment section, Jesus loved others while also calling out their sin (in a loving way, of course). And in the Bible it clearly states that homosexuality is against God's plan. But with that being said, no one should make you feel less, no matter what you are doing. If someone is being mean or hurtful towards you, they are also not following God. Remember, just because there are unloving 'Christians' does not mean God does not love you. Even Jesus dealt with mean and hateful people who were God's chosen. They even killed him.

It literally doesn’t say that in the Ten Commandments. The only mention of neighbors in exodus 20 is about not coveting. In Revelation 3:19 Jesus says “As many as I love I rebuke and chasten; be zealous therefore and repent.” Jesus did not preach acceptance of sin, but repentance from sin. Mark 1:14-15 Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

Miranda Ducharme We can judge, though to a certain extent. The beginning was wrong, he shouldn't have a disgusted look on his face and want nothing to do with them. But the video is correct, we shall love our neighbor as ourselves. We shall treat them as any other person. But we should spread the gospel, and say what they are doing is wrong.

“Love thy neighbor as you would love yourself” i’m catholic, i strongly believe that god is incapable of hate, jesus came to teach us about justice and love, not hate. Dear gay people, i support you and respect you, know that there are religious people who in fact have tolerance and kindness to offer you :)

I've got a good friend at work who is gay, and all I've ever wanted to do was to show him love. I asked him if he had a Bible at all, and he told me he had one somewhere in his apartment, so then I challenged him to look at the first chapter of Romans and get back to me. I told him this w/o shouting or cursing, but in a kind and loving manner. I feel really bad for him because he moved up to Washington back in 2012 from Southern Cali due to some major hurts, but I can see those hurts on his sleeve.

Hampus Hilding pedophilia is a non-minor lusting after one or more minors, homosexuality is the love of someone of the same gender as you, and Islam and it's followers if they go by every word in the Quran are hateful of homosexuals and the way I see it is there is no real and logical way of knowing that the Christian god actually said that other than then him coming down and saying that he said they're sins or going back in time

The section which says that ‘Man shall not lay with boy as you shall with woman’ is a typo. It was supposed to say ‘Man shall not lay with CHILD as you shall with woman’ Also, I saw a pride rally where some guy in a Jesus costume dressed up with a sign that said: I’m okay with it.
