I think the trap most guitarist get into is wanting to learn everything all at once, which ironically does the complete opposite. Finding teachers that actually want to help you progress feels rare and you're one of those. Thank you.

@@danielcull5054 Playing guitar is like carving a statue out of stone. 10 years from now if you keep at it, you'll be amazed at how well you can play. But to expect a beautiful statue quickly is just not realistic.

@@danielcull5054 The best thing you can do when you're a beginner is just learn songs you love. You won't always be able to play to their max potential but as long as you're making sounds you love, you'll keep going. The hardest part is just to keep going.

@@andrewclarkeguitar Thats awesome nothing beats your teaching style, do you think you could cover the other pentatonic shapes in relation to chord changes like you did in the video? I have all of the shapes memorized but I wanna be able to do what you taught in this video with the other shapes as well. Just curious.
@andrewclarkeguitarАй бұрын
@@99agility34 That's one of the things it will cover. All 5 positions fully fleshed out with triads/chords. Then linking them together, building melodies, how to write set solos or improvise them using the entirety of the fretboard, etc.

Great lessons! I play mostly minor keys in metal band. So if I'm playing in A minor I assume for the I chord I start in G shape on the 5th fret? But the triad shape would be wrong. The root would be C and not A. HELP!
@andrewclarkeguitar26 күн бұрын
Not exactly. If you're in a minor key, then you need to align your first finger with the root note. So the key of A minor would be the exact shape I shared in this video. The triad shapes would remain the same as well. If you need a more detailed explanation on relative major/minor keys, check out this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bHTMdZ-AmtWfY9E
