I have the same rifle in 7.62X39. MDT is coming out with a ten round magazine for it late this year. The Accu-tac chassis is no longer available. I had to bed the action on mine. Now it’s a sub moa gun.

Provided you set the ogive distance to lands reasonably in that load, you should be fine shooting those 5.56 loads through that rifle. Gas gun 5.56 loads are about the same as bolt gun 223 loads. Also, the Howa mini action is sold in CIP member countries like the UK, so it has to be CIP certified and tested. CIP standard for 223 Remington is over 62,200psi which is the same as 5.56 here in the states...

That is a great looking rifle. Those 77's should really generate some good energy out of that bolt gun, especially loaded hot. I'm anxious to see if that load will be accurate.

WTF SoCal ball powder? I use 19.5g of IMR4198, Tula MSRP and seat a Nos. CC 77g w/o crimp to mag length (ASC mag for my AR). Shooting dimes at 100. Can’t wait to see your range report.

I dont know why this come up so much and people think you cant shoot 5.56 out of a .223, especially a bolt gun. They are the same cartridge. The only difference is in the chamber and that only to accomodate firing under less than ideal conditions for military application. The rounds are the same in every way.
