I put a 2lb timney in my Howa 24 in heavy 308 in a houge over molded stock and I'm shooting 10 shot 3/4 in groups with ,168 fed gold metal match and two of my reloads in 165 gr with varget or cfe223 powder.

yea the 308 167gr with the cfe 223, is what i load for a friend of mine rpr rifle. works really well like that. thanks for the comment, interesting is the trigger crisp at 2lbs?

Nice man. Eyeballing that Howa. I was almost sold on a Sauer or Mauser but the Howa has more aftermarket support. I was thinking of a Howa 1500 barreled action and buy a stock but the Hera H7 seems like the better deal. 700's are legendary and maybe one day

true. i like both but i would take the howa. ! thanks for the comment!

Yeah, this comparison video just makes me like the Howa even more. I think the bolt handle on the Howa might have an extra curve in it that gives you a touch more distance from the scope. Do you have a comparison of the Howa Hera to the Tikka T3X Compact Tactical or Ruger American Hunter with a Magpul stock? The Franchi Momentum All-Terrain Elite and Varmint has also caught my attention.

no sorry i dont have any of those ones. i did the franchi momentum, and the ruger american gen 2. though

probably about to buy a howa hera myself soon and i was just really curious cuz i'm leaning more towards 308 and im wondering why id want 6.5cm and if i should get the 6.5cm instead why is that ? there are so many different opinions and the always go back and forth between choosing 308 and choosing 6.5cm
@UltimateArms4 ай бұрын
first off thanks for the question. the 6.5 creedmoor shoots better than the 308, which starts to drop like a stone after like 4 or 500yrds. but in the end its up to you.me i shoot 6.5, and not 308, thats personal preference. its your choice.!!! i'd go with 6.5 creedmoor. better shooting! hope that helps and plese dont forget to subscribe!!

Great video. There is a lot of pro's and con's for both. Personally I'd go the rem700. It's easy to complain that the barrel isn't free floated or the LOP can't be adjusted and etc. However at the end of the day from the factory the 700 put down the better groups. Typically people go upgrading parts like the stock or trigger in the pursuit of tighter groups. With the Howa, you're kinda stuck the way it comes. The remington 700 is already putting down better groups and you can easily upgrade anything you want as everyone makes remington 700 parts. I don't think you could go wrong with either, however again personally I'd be going with the 700 for the better performance out of the box and more upgrade options should it ever be desired.

True. If I would have used one of the other boxes of ammo that I used on the remington they would have been neck to neck, but you are right you can upgrade the remington. But if someone didn't have the time or money then the howa is a great alternative. Thanks for the comment and don't forget to subscribe. Thanks again

How did you like the Discovery Optics scope? What rings did you use?
@UltimateArms11 ай бұрын
for the price its very good. compared to the arken ep5 which is a little more in price here in canada, its pretty close. its got good glass, which is nice, the turrets work good, good feel to them, and for the price ! yea it works. the rings i was using were a set of Wheeler Sporter Bi-Weaver rings 34mm, medium in height. hope that answers your question and if you liked the video and channel dont forget to subscrbe.

You are able to easily swap out the Howa triggers. I have a Timney trigger in mine . Took about 10 minutes at the most ...

Does the Howa use a Remington 700 rail footprint?
@UltimateArms10 ай бұрын
no it uses a howa 1500 short action rail. thanks for the comment dont forget to subscribe

Honestly the howa is better you just have to use top-notch ammo, such as sig's copper ammo. I am getting 0.201 groups, ALMOST 0.1-0.19!🤯

That maybe so but when I review these rifle I try out different ammo, to see how they group. They all act different from gum to gun. Thanks for the comment
