Whose choice was it?? That is frustrating! Don't get me wrong...you did a fantastic job of it but the melody of the song didn't allow for you to show off your incredible range. Plus, I miss the dancing! (If those moves were discouraged by producers that would be crazy - they set you apart... if the frontman of 'future islands' didn't dance the unorthodox way he does they probably wouldn't be half as popular imo). Having said all this, you were the only act who has come up with something different every single time. Those suburban sons songs are yours too??

I was really sad to see Howard voted off after a great performance like this. On second watching it's even better! I think perhaps the song didn't play to the public vote, but I think Howard will use this exposure to elevate his career to new heights. Fantastic to follow your journey man. As a touring musician I have seen Howard on stage in Leicestershire with a band doing some very hard classic rock material and him and his band were awesome , such a shame your of H but I think you will get signed up very quickly with that voice and stage presence that you have .

Out of all the performances of the night I keep coming back to this one! Howards voice and the way he backs himself up on the guitar is special. What I find particularly frustrating about Howard being voted out is that unlike the other contestants Howard is not only an outstanding singer and performer but a ridiculously talented musician. It's a true shame that "public" don't appreciate such a gifted artist but nevertheless a man with his talents will go far.

I keep playing this, absolutely love it! If this was promoted well and the radio stations played frequently I am sure it would be a hit. So disappointed he didn't get through after the public vote. The voice show format seems to lose some great acts too soon.

I don't post online often but your performance last night moved me so here goes... That was sensational. Some might say wrong song choice I say nonsense. Emanuel might be the favourite and will win - he has an outrageously super voice but I think he is a bit of a one trick pony. You have it all... intelligent versatile great voice and great presence. But I can't explain what that magic ingredient is... I know what it does - it makes me feel good and is uplifting, and whatever happens, you will be the true winner. Can't wait to hear more from you.

Been listening to The Killers' recording of this, and Howard's is by far the better version. He brings it to life with his clever intonations, and also makes it catchier, more of a pop song. Great work!

Shame he went home really I think he fits in well with the current charts with the James Bays and Hoziers not that I'm comparing him to them as he sounds completely different but he's in the same league as them when it comes to style and likability! :D I really did like him especially after that Knockout performance!

I still can't believe he was voted off. The only negative about this performance that I can think of was that Howard's a little bit too similar to Brandon Flowers as an artist so it sounded like he was trying to imitate him in one or two parts. Aside from that it was really good. This guy was one of the best they had, I really expected him to go farther.
