You're so darn cute! Here in California, I met a "Kiwi" who was in front of me at the supermarket. I put my strawberries on the belt, and he picked them up and placed them on his side of the divider. I wasn't sure what he was doing, and looked at him confused, when he said "just wait..." Yada yada yada, he paid for my strawberries! I was astounded and followed him out thanking him profusely and asking his name.... His name was A.J., and when I noticed his accent I asked where he was from, to which he responded: "The most beautiful place on earth, New Zealand." And that was my experience with a Kiwi.... it was a most beautiful day and experience!

@stephentrent48785 жыл бұрын
As a fact kiwi fruits originate from China, so technically we stole them from the Chinese
Well, kiwifruit are actually Chinese gooseberries - they grow really well here and were rebranded as kiwifruit because kiwi birds are indigenous to Aotearoa and Zespri (the company responsible for the export of the fruit) wanted to control the market with an iconic name. What is annoying though is that Americans call the fruit "kiwi".... guys the bird is a kiwi, the people are kiwis, the fruit is a kiwifruit

How is Crowded House a NZ band that is somehow incorrectly claimed by Oz (as is inferred)? The band formed on Australian soil (Melbourne 1985) and two of the three founding members are Australian. At best it's a partial NZ band.

Hahahaha!!!!! When I was in Rotorua at the Tamaki Maori Village my husband and I could not stop laughing at the banters of Kiwi's vs. the Ozzie's! I fell in love with a cake that tasted like marshmallows but had a texture of a meringue. The people we were sitting with were Ozzie's (well a big majority of the tour groups were Ozzie's) and I immediately said, "this tastes sooo good! What kind of dessert is this?" The Ozzie's quickly said, "it is Pavlova and we were the ones that created this dessert not the Kiwi's." The maori host over heard and he jokingly said no we made it first but it was stolen from us from the Ozzie's! Also at the end of the banquet the Maori tribe said remember these 2 words we say in New Zealand.... "All Blacks..." My husband & I are from Orlando, Florida (we are called Floridian). We definitely can tell a huge difference between the Kiwis & the Ozzie's! We could not stop laughing soo hard at the banters of Pavlova & All Blacks Rugby team! Hahahaha!!!!! Cheers!

Alisha Awesome!!!! Rotorua is a Beautiful city!!!!! We wished we had more time to explore Rotorua! We were there for 2 days: Day 1 we went to Hells Gate & Tamaki Maori Village. Day 2 Rainbow Springs. Everyone was very nice, kindhearted, & welcoming. We made a friend with a kiwi in Auckland & we kept in touch since then in 2016! Her & her bf plan on visiting us next year since we live in Orlando, FL. they want to go to Disney World! We will be hosting them! Really excited to see them! My hubby & I fell in Love with New Zealand! We got to explore both North & South Islands on our 2 week late honeymoon (we got married in April 2012 & saved up a lot to go to NZ Sept.19-Oct.2, 2016). It was sooo hard to leave NZ. I cried on the plane when we were flying out to go back home to the states. Hubby & I will visit NZ again in the near future! Thank you New Zealand for being such Beautiful & Kindhearted people! 😘💖

That banter has helped keep us mates since the dawn of the ANZACS. We tease each other (Aussies vs Kiwis), play Sports against each other and fight beside each other. As an Aussie, at the end of the day, I'd sooner have a beer with a Kiwi than fight against them.
