I really appreciate the straight forward approach you have to making wine. Last week I started up a 4 gallon batch of Mango wine. My wife wanted to watch a show and asked how long it would take. I told her 30 minutes, lol. Lo and behold, I went from start to sealed in 30 minutes (Cleanup took another 10 but she didn't care). I tasted it after one week and it's already amazing!

Appreciate your videos, Very much a beginner 😊 Is there any particular reason you put the bag in before you mix? Could i do this with the dried mint you buy from the grocery store? After watching a few other channels, yours seems to have more information, Much appreciated!

Thanks for supporting us. I just always put additives at bottom of bucket. Don't want to put onto the fruit in case of a Mishap. Fresh mint and fresh fruit is always going to be better than dried ingredients when you can get it. Good luck wine making is easier once get a few tips from this channel. 👍👍😀😀🍷🍷

Nice 1 gallon recipe. I plan on making one similar. With mint leaves, regular black tea water from one tea bag, corn sugar, juice from one lemon and a little orange zest boiled with 1 teaspoon of bread yeast for the yeast nutrient , pectic enzyme, No bag to hold the mint just blend it fine in the tea/lemon juice(autosiphon), it will fall to to bottom of the jar/bucket. One thing I do not like is how much StarSan(contains phosphates) went into your fermentation. I rinse my fermentation vessel and bottles with distilled water afterwards.
@HowToDoneRight
@HowToDoneRight Жыл бұрын
Sounds like a good process. But tippy degassing the purpose of rinsing star San. No Need to rinse. It is made to be used as a wet solution bubbles and all. 👍👍

I love watch your videos but I got a question? Your gallon measure is American or UK? Because I live in UK and if I add 2 pounds of sugar will be different if the measure is not correct. Thank you so much for your videos
@HowToDoneRight
@HowToDoneRight Жыл бұрын
These recipes are in us gallon... however the recipe will work for UK gallon as well not a big difference so will work and no need for adjustment. The most important thing in my recipe is extra fruit to account for this. Great question👍👍👍

What would I have to do for a higher ABV? Less water? Or is there another option?
@HowToDoneRight

More sugar and less water. Your yeast will only tolerate so much abv So have to read yeast package.

Hello there. How long can this wine be stored after all the fermentation done. Expiry date or anything like this? I know the more you store the wine the better it gets in taste. But i have seen some videos online that says best to be keep for only some time.

It's possible to do it just with orange juice, with or without the pulp, but expect way more sediment...like 1/4 of your fermenter worth of it. Not this wine tho

@@HowToDoneRight Same here. All you need is about 2L of rose petals per 5L which is about 1/3 more than a US gallon. You know the rest. I actually stuffed two 900g (almost exactly 2lbs) mason jars full of red and pink rose petals and made a 5L batch 5 months ago. That wine is out of this world good! I have to make your banana orange blend btw!

@@HowToDoneRight Yeah, I have plenty of bushes in my backyard so am lucky in that regard, but try asking around with friends, family, neighbors before buying. You can easily get them for free. Next year tho. Or if you live in a warmer climate, you probably still have roses blooming. I'm in Scandinavia so...nope for me. I really should've gotten more and either frozen them or dried them.
