I'm getting addicted to your videos. Past day I've watched like 15 videos. Love when I start to see the effects of how good your wine is. I cringe at the sanitizer left in everything. I know its safe, I use to use it all the time at work...but I cant see how over time...even it's at a low strength,, I dont see how it doesnt mess with the taste of the wine. I wouldn't add a shot if the sanitizer to my drinks before I consume them, but ur getting like a half oz of sanitizer in each bottle. But love your videos. Dont stop!

Thanks so much for watching. But you want to be sure sanitizer is in your bottles And rinsing defeats the purpose. Thanks for being a loyal viewer. 👍👍

Update I bottled my Caramel Apple wine last weekend. I ended up with 28 3/4 bottles. The 3/4 bottle was placed in the fridge for immediate consumption (LOL). It looks and taste amazing. Thanks for providing this video. I am also currently working on some blueberry mead. It has about another month in secondary fermentation. Time to start something else now… I think I’m going to try the wine made from juice next. I am having so much fun!

Hi, I'm making hard apple cider, I want to back sweeten also I would like to try and carbonate some, could I back sweeten with a nonfermenting sugar like stevia or splenda then add a little sugar to carbonate?
@HowToDoneRight
@HowToDoneRight Жыл бұрын
Yes other sugars will work... but may not be good for aging wine. Most likely will need yeast to carbonate but be careful to use right bottles.

That looks really delicious, have you tried it refrigerated? Wondering if there’s a difference between room temperature and being cold? Just started a batch of mango ginger wine last night, I’m kind of debating if I want to add some honey to it when I add my sugar don’t know if I’m just over complicating it or some honey flavor would come through.

That's sounds great too. Yes the apple taste great chilled. Almost like a cider beer. You surely can add boney but I would do it when you backsweeten your wine not in fermentation. But you can. Let me know goes it comes out.🍷🍷👍👍😁😁

Ive been watching your nice wine videos and I really like your content and they way that you are super excited with it. I have started my first batches with orange and pineapple by myself and comparing to your approach some doubts naturally raised in my head. Wine tannin, yeast nutrient, pectin enzyme, and acid blend makes the real difference in the final product? I ask it because some of them are not easy to find (and expensive prices) here in Brazil. So which one(or ones) plays the major benefit to your wines or which one can I skip? I'm planning to follow your recipes soon... As you and your wife prefer a little bit of extra sugar, do your wines finish like a kind of a fruit liquor? I'd really appreciate with you can shed light in my first journey.

Thanks so much for watching the channel. I have a video on substitutes for some you have mentioned for those that can't get some of the additives. Please check this video out. kzbin.info/www/bejne/l5DRkpespriFa6c Nutrient Is just going to give you a healthier wine tannins and pectic will add flavors as well. But none are a necessity but will add flavor and depth. You only have to please yourself so try without and see if you like it. We prefer a semi sweet wine so when we backsweeten with subst and Stabilize that will not increase abv so it will be a sweet or semi sweet wine not a fortified wine or liquor if that makes sense. 👍👍🍷🍷

Just a friendly suggestion: I've only now noticed some of the bottles you're corking, are actually used screw tops. That's not safe as their glas up top is not as sturdy so they can easily crack. Another thing: For the first few days after corking, you should be keeping your bottles upright, until the corks expand and seal up those bottles properly. Only then the bottles are layed to the side. Please don't take this the wrong way. Just wanted to pass on an advice that's been given to me by professional winemakers. ✌️

@@HowToDoneRight Awesome! And thanks! These days people go off at anything, thinking it's a bad faith attack against them. So cool you haven't reacted in that way because I wrote this in 100% good faith! Regarding screw top bottles, I've personally had issues while corking them, and with respect to the other thing, I'm merely spreading information I've been given from a very reliable source, doing this for a living. When one lays bottles on the side immediately after the corking, before letting the cork expand, some wine leakage could occur, leading to a series of further issues. Anyhow, love your great videos! They often inspire me...keep making them!! 👍👍
