A while back, someone brought one of those Cutwater margaritas by my place. I was making cocktails for my friends, so I thought this was an easy way for me to have a snort while I was mixing things up for everyone else. Definitely did not understand at the time that this thing was a full 12 oz can of margarita, basically making it a triple! Canning margaritas would be tricky. With the recent cocktail renniassance, there are a fair few people familiar with the traditional mixed drink. Novelty 'health food' is expensive. Eating healthy can be cheap as hell. Compare a boiled egg, a modest serving of plain Greek yogurt with a spoon full of granola, some veggies, and a bit of uncured meat to the $2/serving (before milk) fake out cereal (seriously, low cal sweeteners in a cereal?). You're getting more nutrition for less money, the difference is you're doing more work than pouring milk over a bowl of cereal.

No question, 12 oz of a 15% canned cocktail is strong, but not so much in comparison to the standard. Assuming the tequila and curacao are 80 proof, Greg's recipe is 1.2 oz of ethanol. If the final drink is 5 to 8 oz (4 oz liquid plus ice melt), then the proof of the standard margarita is 15-24%. Put another way, assuming each margarita is 6 oz, the homemade version is 20% ABV which beats that of the can. Don't take my word for it, though - try it at home. Repeatedly! First one to do so as Greg did with handwritten notes that are legible wins!

Just for reference 5% and 7% abv are pretty common for canned beer. Don't know if that's were these companies are aiming for but yeah. Also, I'm a bit of a beer guy, other than the 12% I wouldn't be afraid of quickly getting drunk on these. Obviously the 50 proof one is just an actual strait up margarita and that one would kick my butt.

While I absolutely love watching Greg do these, I was so hoping for the "Trash level" of these with some Bud-A-Rita's, Cayman Jack's, Four Loko, and other canned malt versions. Please Greg; do us all a solid and do a part two using the malt beverage margaritas.

remember the color changing spoons you'd get in frosted flakes - Magic Spoon needs to provide magic spoons! And, yes, u should wear more costumes in this show. - Great Vid!

Tryna figure out how Greg's costume changed into normal flannel for all the slow mo shots of the baseline Margarita, and then back to Cowboy Curtis for the normal speed shots

I love how he's talking about doing more costumes on the show over the top of a slowmo of him not in costume, the exact reason why he doesn't usually do costumes.

Raise hands all who immediately had "Doug Dimmadome, owner of the Dimmsdale Dimmadome" run through their head as soon as Greg popped onto the screen?

I immediately thought of Big Chuck from Identity Thief, but you're not wrong. 😄

Holy shit he filmed another after this one? Are we going to see Greg get weepy drunk about how bad some of this stuff is?

Impressed by the quick changes as you made your margarita 😉
