As an avid Skyrim enjoyer I can definitely say this looks to be able to defend against a vampire. So great work (also this guy has smithing 100 IRL)

It's just a show piece unfortunately. Myself I'd like to see it as actual armor. But that requires more material for thickness. And it would be heavy.

Enjoyed this one, I know it's a few months old now, but I enjoyed the real armour based on a fantasy game, and the really clever way you play with the editing too.

That was impressive work putting the crease in and maintaining the symmetry between both pieces and both sides of each. Very nice

All I could think watching the section where he made the slits for the panels to slide up and down was that the tool he was using was like- the Hole Punch from hell or something.

You're doing amazing stuff. As a Guitarmaker I can appretierte traditional craft and envy you a little bit for your line of work. Always wanted to get into forging but never had the opportunity. I know that you're not really active in the comment section and most likely won't answer any questions about your situation. I hope that you're holding up in Ukraine and that you and your family are save. I also hope that this madness soon comes to an end. Power to you and thank you for sharing your art with us!

Maybe it was a comment intended for another video? Here there usually are fist effects, and afterwards it's shown, how it's done. Maybe more missed moments of actual work can be seen on authors Ukrainian channel kzbin.info/www/bejne/r4q6qqeJipWWi9k

From what I've seen, he always shows the process behind any given technique once before using editing to skip it any time it would get repetitive. Sometimes he does the editing skip before showing the technique the second or third time he does a thing, but he always does show how it would be done.

Likewise, like he’s good at the metal, and the editing, but I would love if he released some purely instructional videos for a lot of his techniques. I am a sheet metal guy by trade, and I’m nowhere near this guys level, and I learn something each one of his vids I watch

I don’t know if it’s a good design. It seems to me if you raised your arms too high the top edge of both shoulder guards would cut into your neck. I know these are copies of a fantasy suit of armor, but I think the original fantasy artist didn’t know much about actual practical combat armor. Just my thoughts. Thank you.

this is all very next level armor making burnishing included! (I've dabbled, SCA etc) I'm just curious as to why such heavy gauge steel? The SCA got all sorts of crazy about helmet thickness before I got out, but for other stuff 18g was more then adequate.
