For those of you on the BIOS update part, just a quick fyi, the video says 40 sec, but mine actually took a couple minutes. after the 40 sec i thought it just didn’t work so i left and went upstairs, a couple minutes later i saw it had started to reboot, and now works perfectly fine, so don’t get discouraged if it doesn’t work after 40 s. Great video!

$800 for the computer it lasted 6 months, sent to HP they fixed it and it lasted another 6 weeks, sent to HP again had to pay $300 and it lasted only another 6 weeks. Needless to say, I will not be purchasing an HP laptop again.

When I got to the step to try to recover bios, I pressed windows+B+power the first time and idk, I guess i didn’t press it long enough, I waited the 40+ seconds and tried again since it was still off, caps lock key wasn’t lighting up. When I tried it again I held buttons down for 2 seconds this time and eventually saw a message come up saying “Flashing boot block” then I think it restarted? Maybe not, and then it showed bios update and then flashing boot block again…then it said the bios was updated and I had to press enter to continue and now it’s at my regular start up screen…I guess that worked! Thanks a ton! Hope my comment helps someone :)
