Thanks for making the video, it's not your fault HP designed a bummer... Having received that error and taking the cartridges out and looking around I absolutely knew it was going to be a long drawn out process with no easy solution!!! Thanks a lot HP!!! Time for a new printer anyway.

1. Always unplug the power to any equipment before disassembling 2. Oftentimes the contact points get a buildup of carbon. Simply using a clean pencil eraser to remove the carbon buildup will ensure a proper connection. I'd never use solder like that.

For those who have no experience with these things: This is a classic bypass! And the last attempt to force the print head to work. This is done when no other method helps. If this bypass does not help either, it is a sign that the print head is electronically faulty and there is no way to help it. Just a replacement for a new head. You don't have to solder anything...it's enough to put pieces of aluminum foil that you stick with duct tape. Feel free to connect two gold contacts for each color, there will be no harm. If the head works, the only difference is that the printer will no longer be able to monitor the ink level in the cartridges, so you have to pay attention to that and manually check how much ink is in the cartridges by taking them out of the slot and just shake them and it will be clear to you how much ink is there. If the remaining nozzles with a little color are without ink, there is a possibility that they will burn and then the head will be completely destroyed. This can be the price of a bypass if you don't pay attention to the ink level. HP printers and especially the print heads are the worst of all other printers...the worst of the worst...so buy only Epson and Brother because it is proven that there are no better inkjet printers than them. I say all that I have written as an inkjet printer repairer with a lot of experience. You can see for yourself that their technical support is zero. They never respond to anyone at all, as if they don't exist. And for every possible malfunction, their solution is to remove the cable from the wall plug and plug it in again...hahahaahaha...The quality of their devices is very bad and you shouldn't buy them at all.

@PracticaProphetica7 ай бұрын
@@csh000 Canon and Epson are faster at photo printing. Brother is good for general use, and sometimes less expensive. But always buy the printers that have the separate color cartridges. Never buy the ones that have all 3 colors in one cartridge. There are usually no generic cartridges for those kind. Or get an ink tank printer, and avoid having to buy cartridges.

Note that sometimes just cleaning the contacts with an eraser helps, which may be stained with ink or simply corroded. Sometimes the problem is just the foil on the chip reader from the cartridge, which needs to be replaced because it peels off over time, and then fake air is drawn in there and you get a message that there is a problem with the ink system. Sometimes it helps to install original cartridges. Because the chipset is oversaturated with bad replacement cartridges. And as the last reason for the appearance of such a message on the display when it says that there is no print head and when even the bypass does not help, the head is working more because it has reached the print limit. What does that mean? Well, this means that it has reached a certain number of printed pages limited to one of the chips on the motherboard. And the head can be perfectly correct in every sense, but the chip does not allow it to work anymore and then you get an error message like this. There is no way to find out in which of the chips the data about the number of printed pages is stored. Probably in one of the eeprom. And you can't delete or reset it with HP. While, for example, with Brother and Epson, you can reset the ink counter. So, I want to say that the HP bastards are using all kinds of broken things to force you to buy new print heads and original cartridges at exorbitant prices. Well, I know for sure that older HP printers have written limits on the number of pages that can be printed with the print head, and when it reaches that limit, it simply tells you that the head is missing or that it is damaged. With some older printers, it is about 15,000 pages... with some 30,000 pages.. and with newer printers, that number or the limit is even lower now... so they reduced even more the possible number of prints with their print heads in their printers. Let me say once again, buy only Epson or Brother inkjet printers!

I've gone back to using my 10yr old Epson due to this HP printer head issue. It's so frustrating to have spent $300+ on this only to have it fail. Never gain will I buy an HP printer.

When you added solder, you tied the two halves to get so that it will not work. If you make each section into its half, then the relays will work. I noticed that the head were dirty, therefore, I cleaned them with cloth. I hope that it works. You have to be careful about the ink dripping out. It was your presentation that allowed me to proceed, Thank you for your presentaation.

Did you just take any old piece of metal (like a piece of hanger) rod, heat it up and touch the prongs to liquify them? How hot should the metal get? How long did you wait to let it solidify again before you put everything back together? These are the burning questions that need to be answered in your video? You could even put that information in the further information section. That looks like a pretty involved operation and I don't want to further mess up my machine by not having the right info. If anybody else has these answers I'd appreciate it.

Unsure if my answer applies here, but I'll bet videos by foreign nationals or naturalized citizens here in the US sounding, looking or acting other than that of Mr & Mrs Joe White Man from Indiana, US of A may get more eyeballs on them if race and geographical queues have been removed. Note the number of how-to vids where music, text and gloved hands must be used in order to disguise clues to certain specificities some small-minded viewers might find "unpalatable" in others and pass on viewing or supporting those channels - no matter the value of the information provided. That wrong-headed thinking of the value each of us could provide others really is the unpalatable thing here and in the words of 'Our Dear Leader', Donald Trump .... "SAD".
