I have ordered a W4100 on your recommendation, from another of your more recent videos I watched in 2022 March. I am into video encoding using ffmpeg rather than gaming, so I will be interesting to see how it goes. BTW a big improvement in your videos since this one has been the reduction in your right hand movements all over the screen. I had to mostly listen to this video rather than watch it as the unnecessary hand waving was really distracting. Kudos to you for reducing the hand waving in recent videos. Thanks for listening to viewer comments, as I had raised this in the past.

Cool video bro. I recently got an HP Z440 bare bones for $230 au. Came with a E5 1620v3 and a K 2200 Quadro and a Crucial 256 SSD and 16 GB. I'm going to upgrade the PSU Ram 12 core CPU and GPU. Expected cost $120 32g Ddr4 2400 $50 CPU $150 PSU and $200 GPU.

Just upgraded a Acer Veriton case & motherboard I got for free with an i5 3340s, 8GB DDR3, Firepro W4100, 120GB SSD, 1TB HDD and on a 220W Bronze 80+ rated PSU, for roughly £70 ($95USD) With the state of the world and the graphics card market being a total f**king disgrace at the moment, these types of build can be a perfect entry level PC or budget build to allow people to play most games at a decent enough level.

I bought that exact gpu recently and spent forever looking for parts to make a build. its funny that I came around $275 for a similar build. The hardest part of the build was finding compatible used cpu and motherboards which were not crazy amounts of money. eventually settled on the Intel core I5-3350p cpu with the intel DQ77MK mother board which both ended being about $67.

I have the Z440. Bullet proof PC like the entire Z series. Upgraded the psu and gpu. Running 6 core@3.6 32g ddr4. Nothing wrong with the case. You drop it on the floor and the floor breaks.. 👍🏾

The Xenon e3 1245 is a really good processor! It is considerably faster in Cinebench testing than the old i7-920 that I also have and I love that old processor too! It also uses less wattage. The 1245 is in an old Dell Precision T1600 that I wish to test with a Sapphire Nitro+ RX 580 8GB mem, but it is too big for the case. I have bought a pcie adapter cable and 3D printed some mounts to use it outside of the case. I am stretching it a bit since the PSU is 450 watt and Sapphire recommends at least a 500, but I can't afford a newer supply just yet. We'll see, I guess.....🤔

I just got one mint Z240 SFF with Xeon E3-1245 v5/16GB DDR4/No storage by US$50. It's awesome for budget PC with good expansion capability for storage and PCI-e devices. Maybe I can consider a RTX A2000 for gaming/video editing

you also missing the cpu upgrade path, you can get bga1440>lga 1151 xeons from aliexpress that have 8 or 10 cores that work on those boards with a minor bios mod, such as QTj1 or QQLS, or the 75 dollar QCNT 6 core 12 thread, which is really good price/performance for this socket, and comes with the required screwdriver for the custom mount

I got gifted a z400. I slapped in a Zeon x5680 for 16$. I upgraded to 18gb of ddr3 for 10$. and I just bought a FirePro w4100. I'm shooting for 720P gaming until I can get an SSD and a better gpu. we shall see

it's the xeon e3 1245 v5, This is the highest I have test with this build, not sure what would work that would be higher but i have read about the 1270 working in this setup.

Hello, great video! Do you know if it's possible to use a GTX 1650 (not the low-profile one but an Aero ITX) in this hp z240 sff? I don't mind having the case open as I already have an XFX RX 550 "low profile" that did not come with the LP bracket. Does the PSU have a 6-pin connector or is it possible to change the PSU? The PSU looks totally different from the one in my 3010 SFF."

Yes you can! 1650 lp will fit in almost anything.

Hey man I'm thinking about getting one of these and the question is will it bottleneck if i put a 2060 into this PC (CPU is Intel Xeon E3-1230 v5 if there are different CPU's one those PC's) and also will it fit and is the motherboard even compatible (HP 802F)

If only there was a low profile HD7770. It outperforms this card at a similar price but you can't fit it in an SFF case.

That would be ideal, i only use these cards due to the price you can get them at and it's easier to flip these sff as is. before the gpu crazyness I would use a gt 1030 or 1050ti low profile back when you can get them for like $30-$80. Love the w4100 as it has been the go to to keep the flips alive but i def do miss building more budget friendly future ready builds.

that card will work and fit on almost any board. it won't work for this one only because of the case and its a low profile setup. but if you have a normal itx, matx, or atx case with full size gpu support it will work fine.

absolutely, the intel 6th gen processors have more then enough power plus you can max the ram to 32gbs and even go with a 1tb ssd for all that content. def my recommendation. I would even stream for gaming with it if i could get a better gpu for it.

that is a good price but check out the firepro w4100 from amd. they are going for about $50 USD and are pretty decent and way better then the k2000.
