I have this one. I disassembled at least 10 times the engine to run out of 1 gallon of fuel. The vehicle is very nice 3 speed gearbox installed on my channel. Even though I struggle with a lot of problems, I love my savage

@@Nerm78 i do love the mini b! My rear wheel bearing went out after a few runs but horizon is sending out replacements for free! Qnd I had a brushless motor laying around that fit in it so I went and got a 30amp hobbywing esc and a traxxas tsm receiver and now it handles really well!

When u buy it online they limit you to 3 cans which sucks I’ll wait until it comes in stock in the stores so I can buy a dang case! We were at a wrestling tournament this morning in PA & then a soccer tournament in Jersey this afternoon so I haven’t even gotten a chance to break the Savage 4.6 in yet. when i got mine i pulled the motor and tranny out and threw in trash ! 3 speed and Novarossi .28- 8 port , 40 mini pin rims and tires , by-pass shocks put it together at rc madness best $700 i ever spent !!! after break in i put the stock tires back on and did 3rd gear donuts and the tires ripped apart and had to get rpm up and lower a arms with sealed bearing. last thing i did was upgrade the side plates with carbon longer long ones the new dog bone . i miss that r/c it was so much fun !!

@@hybrid32494 if its a older set up buy the rpm a arms . i live in ct and when its cooler out those stock a arm snap like twigs . the stock shocks and spring are crap . run these shocks {$30 a pair }1 per tire then take the spring off the stock shock and put it back as the second shock . www.amazon.com/Integy-C25382BLACK-Piggyback-Reservoir-Savage-X/dp/B00O337TL8/ref=pd_ybh_a_8?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=9WNWKBK6XHNWJW5NF21B the stock motor is all low end so get a pipe that makes power in low to midrange powerband. if the motor runs hot get a 40mm cpu high speed fan and cut a hole out of the back window and put fan in the whole drill holes to mount fan and zip tie in place . the fan should suck the air out of the body and tward the engine . make shure theres oil in the diffs and that they are steel . so reason the factory dont put oil in anything. if the truck starts to ill handle look at the a arm pins they are weak.

There’s a LED on the transmitter, but I didn't see one on the RX system. Is there one? I tried doing it around 5 after getting home from work so it was bright & sunny. It’s out in the garage now & I just got done practicing baseball with Owen the last several hours so I’m too tired and probably more frustrated to go out to the garage now (8:51pm) to look...lol Did you put the batteries in your receiver box yet? If so any issues or did you have to bind it? I emailed HPI from the park immediately so hopefully I’ll get a response tomorrow. I mean there is a two year warranty so I know I’ll be covered. Just annoyed that I may have to wait....UGH!!!/(

I have not even taken mine out of the box yet, saving that for a whole video. Anyway, yes, the RX should still have some sort of LED that will tell you it's getting power. IT comes with the rechargeable pack right for the car? Try a different RX and just plug the power connector to there, see if any RX can get power first. Then let me know.

I looked at this web sight today 3/27/2021 typical HPI out of stock situation on most ready to run. They seem to have a better selection of parts for a lot of models but it still makes me skeptical of doing much with HPI. I have a 2009 Savage XL I just rebuilt and waiting for warmer weather to break in the new nitro .32 I put in it.

Ok a little annoyed at the Savage & I haven’t even started it yet...lol I put the batteries in, turned the remote on and nothing. Triple checked the batteries to make sure (even know they’re brand new) and still no power to the servos. Checked (even though I know what the heck I’m doing) the on/off switch & still nothing. Read about binding the transmitter to the receiver (even though I’ve never had to do it on an RTR RC) & performed what the instructions say. Guess what? Still no power to the servos:( Any ideas? DAMN! it sounds like either your RX is completely dead and not sending any power anywhere (have you verified the LED shows the car has power?). I recommend you just use process of elimination and swap in a different RX and check the power system. This is a very good opportunity for you to contact HRP and file a warranty claim, see what happens. It could be very interesting. Let me know, I'll get notifications from your response to this.

Original Tmaxx done! Broke the front drive shaft & because it’s an original no one anywhere had the replacement. The only had the beefier ones. Finally I emailed Traxxas, but the guy I was emailing never really understood what I was trying to tell him that it was one of the 1st 3.3’s. I finally called & even that guy at first tried to tell me I needed the beffier ones until he consulted with someone. I think he said after 05 or 06 they made them bigger Part #5151 is what I needed & bam! they sent it to me & I just installed & put that bad boy back together Tomorrow I install the new slipper clutch pads Traxxas sent me because there is an absolute defect with them on the new Tmaxx & Revo’s. Just in case you pick one up

Yes, So far I have you and another person conducting this "NITROGANG Investigation" We will ll present our findings in a video. My next step is to read the paperwork the truck came with and see if we can trace down and dates the materials were printed.. Or if any of the items have and obvious signs or dates of being old. I love my savage x. An I love nitro. But I just convert mine too electric. 2200kv motor. Stock transmission. 6s battery. Let just say I can't keep my front wheels down an the dirt an an the rocks no match for this beast. Love my nitro. But the electric is sick raw power. I tell my savage x.
