I actually use my ironing board when i quilt. It holds the fabric well, and I can move it around without a hoop. This machine seems like an easy, less expensive option than the really big ones.

good but the main reason I want a long arm is that I not only want more space I also want to get away from basting my quilt before quilting. So a real frame will be nicer for me.

I was just wondering , is the machine a noisy one because it's a cheaper machine or is it just because it's so noisy there in your background!? They they have this machine in the US? And when you said 6000 was that US dollars are another currency? Thanks

Is there a special way to make sure the quilt is straight to match the fm quilting pattern?

+C Fleyfel Hi There :) I have found that using the quilts piecing as a guide is the easiest way. If you clip in one of the back poles at the point you next want to start and them pulling the quilt and lining up the piecing before clipping in the other pole makes it quite easy. Hugs Paula

PAula...does the quilt have to be basted to load, and can you pin baste? Or is it possible to load without basting?

I have had my machine awhile now. I recommend sandwich your quilt and then baste around the perimeter with the long arm .its very easy and quick. Like anything. Practice practice practice

You showed how to bring the bobbin thread up when you started and then made tiny stitches to anchor the threads but didn't explain what to do at the end of your stitching to anchor the ending threads and have the bobbin thread cut so you could move to the next area to start quilting again.

It seems that for the conveniences gained just as many inconveniences have been created. (I don't like all the clips.) Additionally, I found the host to be overbearing and didn't give the demonstrator the room/respect to let her demonstrate the product. She (the host) was constantly talking, asking questions, interrupting/clarifying, and rushing her along and I found it annoying to watch this video for that reason. Sorry, but it's a thumbs down for me.
