This is Sariel's second theme from Touhou 1: Highly Responsive to Prayers
I love this theme. LOVE IT :D It's so awesome. Not just awesome. It's loud. Loud, proud, and shoves your authority in everyone's face. Picture - not so good, couldn't find any more decent ones that weren't chibis.

The OG Last Word theme. This game alone is a testament to how much of a badass Reimu is(or just any Hakurei as the girl in HRtP looks older and slightly different from any Reimu). She ventured into Hell despute being harmed by her own powers and she beat an angel who has two themes. And Touhou law dictates that the more themes you have, the stronger you are(unless you're Marisa)

Shes also imo One of if not the MOST Badass character in the franchise! I wanna know so much more about Sariel. Yet it could just obliterate me with it's two forms. Plus not to mention. It is actually a seraphim (The highest ranked angel and also Proven by it's second form) Plus Sariel's Second form actually has a silhouette of itself in one of the wings. Thats what makes this fight so badass. Btw Sariel is an it because "she's" considered ambiguous enough to be a male. That makes Sariel even more badass in a way. Whats even crazier is that Sariel is one of the few touhou characters to try and have intent of KILLING reimu outright. She also is one of the few characters to pose a threat to Gensokyo. Literally most badass character if I do say so myself. Its even crazier because the list goes on and on. Sariel isn't even the crazy angel's name. Its never confirmed what its actual name is. It uses objects and stuff from the background to help attack you. When shown in the credits it is completely serious. Sariel doesn't exchange dialogue with Reimu at all. Also I think its highly unlikely that Shinki created Sariel because it was a fallen angel who landed in Makai. It never said it was remade or recreated. It's theme names are creepy and the actual themes are ominous 1st theme: Now until the moment you die/ Now die for the debt that you have accumulated 2nd theme: We shall die together ~ Civilization of Magic / Death Shall take You with me ~ Death Upon Us All Im sure there's more but it isn't coming in my head rn. But literally Sariel needs to come back more than Mima. Not to mention hrtp was the creepiest touhou game and felt so depressing. In a good way that is Edit: I stand Corrected- Sariel is not a Seraphim but an archangel. Plus in one of Sariel's background changes you can see dead people's hands. Which Sariel could have killed.

@@yatsuhashiwho what if I told you that Sariel's intention wasn't to kill Reimu but actually to save her, and what if I told you that it's possible there's a very prominent character in windows cannon that might end up being Sariel's daughter? It's true that Highly responsive to prayers stands out from all the other Touhou games, because it's the only one which meaning is so cryptic, usually all the others have some story exposure through dialogue, yet in Highly responsive to prayers all of the story seems to be told through symbols and images, rather than scripted text or dialogue. In fact the only thing we know about the Highly Responsive to prayers narrative is that from Reimu's perspective, her shrine is suddenly attacked by weird beings and so Reimu rushes out to confront these demonic entities.

Man, the beginning of this. It just exudes so much power. It really gives you the feeling of "Oh shit, I think they're no longer holding back here" A foreboding feeling crawls up your back, maybe even difficulty standing up to what's about to come next. The song slowly builds up to the fight. It starts, you get the sense that you might be able to handle this, at least for now. But that thought suddenly vanishes. Sending you back to a feeling of dread once more, but more of a sense of calm, a moment of respite to prepare you for what's to come next. In comes 1:30 where all hell breaks loose. Idk why I started writing this, I just had this feeling when I hear this song.

It is clearly stated that the ones who drunk the secound dose of the Hourai Elixir can´t be killed even by divine will, so Chang´e can´t be killed, not even by Sariel. Also, if her authority on death where that great, she could have simply killed Reimu with her powers, right? No Danmaku needed. I think that her authority is over the deads, not death itself.

Leusher Gamer I mean it is also the touhou universe. Since in Pbc reimu fights yuyuko who harbors the ability to invite to death killing essentially anyone but yuyuko fights her with danmaku anyways. So it could be a respect thing on sariels end considering there still needs to be a hakurei to maintain the border and all. Though I could easily be wrong

The other version of this theme's name is "death will take you with me" and they don't use spell card rules in the PC-98 era, so it's possible. Then again, Reimu and Mima were the ONLY characters from HRtP that were reused, and when they were, they were in a completely different type of game, so it could be a different universe.

Translation of this theme is absolutly wrong. It's not "Civilization of Magic". Person who made that translation, should go to jail. Name of this song is "死なばもろとも" which you literally can translate as "die all together". Touhou wiki fixed their translation and named it as: "We Shall Die Together", which makes most sense.
