When your entire country has less people than a small city in a competing country, odds are great that your country won't be going to the World Cup. Why even bother trying. However, why India and Indonesia not able to get in is a mystery given they are among the most populous countries in the world. I guess their governments don't invest too much in recruiting natural talents among the millions they have for the picking. On a side note, it's sad that besides not fostering people with natural talents in playing soccer, how many Einsteins and Mozarts have been left undiscovered because these people were too poor to get notice. Instead, they are forced to simply survive to live.
