HRX217 K6 VKA Lawn Mower Operation

I have a 536 HRD HX from 1996 and still starts at first pull, I got it for free 9 years ago from a proffesional gardener, so it had already run for millions of hours :-) In those 9 years I used 3 spark plugs and 3 times new oil, that's it. Don't think there is a better machine out there you can buy, maybe the same one :-) greetings from Belgium. (next spring I will buy a new blade ;-)

I have a dumb (to most) question. I like to push my mower and use the drive when I need it (I'm old and need the exercise). Can you do that with this unit or does it "click"? I'm hoping this belt-drive model will allow it.

Next to Gold Wing ,this HRX217 is my favorite Honda l own . What kind of wax did you use on that deck. Also my red covers are not as shiny as yours. Yes I do wax all my Hondas. I got my HRX217 from Do - Cut Warren, Ohio. 😊

Not really. Great mower but takes a bit to get used to. Would rather have a normal throttle lever honestly

Can I use the hose to clean the mower after use? Is it normal for grass to collect and stay inside?

I hose mine. Have had it for ten years. Same one in video except older cover over the string pulley

Please help some i bought a Honda mower hrx 217 via motor works and all the features in video works as well but my blade are not spinning it’s a brand new mower

How do I fix the self propelled action. Mine just started to “not propel”

Mine is 3 years old and I’m having the same problem. Before I get rid of it I would like to know if there is a fix.

@@jimmount1704 fixed it. You have to twist the little long nut on the throttle cable until the mower doesn’t push while the engine is off. It will be like the tires are locked up. Then twist the long nut in the opposite direction. 8-12 times until it starts to push again. don’t start it to push it. Just push it while holding the throttle. I marked the nut with a marker so I could monitor how many times I twisted it. Still runs like a charm. It’s 9 years old.
