As highly sensitive souls we can benefit particularly from habitual rhythms. However, if you're anything like me, you might have developed somewhat of a mental allergy to habits. They tend to make life feel mundane.
Recently I have stopped rejecting habits and made them an inherent part of my lifestyle... here's why!
Thanks for watching and let me know about your own journey with forming habits in the comments. Do they help or are you better off without?

The first 4 minutes describe what probably most HSP's experience through most of our lives. You say the word "achieve," or the equivalent, several times in those 4 minutes. We are taught to achieve, and tend to blame ourselves when we don't achieve what we set for that time period. This builds and collects throughout life. Just before 4 minutes you say, "Because I don't have any strong commitments with myself." That is the most important sentence you say in this video. Our commitment is truly to ourselves, which is not selfish. Most HSP's, I am learning about myself, never learned this properly. It is no one's fault, in particular our fault. "Habits," perhaps, only come from recognizing that our only commitment is truly to ourselves. This is not selfish in any way. No one is to blame. We just can give ourselves permission now to commit to us. Habits will makes sense along the way. Thank you for the video. It is important and helpful.

Freedom vs. structure ... Tricky tricky. I can relate to both being suffocated by the 9-5 as well as struggling to be one's own boss. I still prefer the latter. :)
