The reason You gave is the main thing allowing insects to grow to larger sizes. It’s due to far less complicated breathing system. As the world was created at some point photosynthetic system developed and shifted atmosphere composition towards high O/N,CO2 ratio causing world wide extinction event and escalating the push towards oxygen accumulation in the atmosphere. This in turn allowed for explosion of speciation as it was easier to provide O2 for oxidative phosphorylation (thus creating life’s little battery in form of ATP) letting organism distribute O2 by diffusion. After a lot of shenanigans with volcanoes and meteors as well as drop in relative O2 produced by biosphere and O2 used up in processes of organisms that don’t produce it themselves it got to the point we see today. I just always wander on one thing when I see movies/comics/animes with the premise of time travel or cryosleep, would they die because of the new/archaic bacteria that could evade their immune system, or would they become the Black Plague bearer, and when one includes O2 level rise, would their tissues fry themselves by being exposed to this amount of O2 thus producing far more free radicals?

If that's the case, then the flame on the torch would not be that narrow nor that weakly burning. It would be burning so hot that Old Green Shirt Guys hair would singe from how close he keeps the fire to his head. It's likely that the staff on this anime didn't know this. With the bunker, the manga explains it better. The anime really did do that ark dirty. Because some of the residents think that they are lying about the place being under water, they try to dig their way out, causing a flood. They do it in one of the storage rooms which Hana's mom is in charge of, and in order to save the many, she seals the door to the storage room with herself inside, killing her. Because of this though, the shelter looses a lot of their food supplies, both for humans and live stock.Hana's father, though a bastard, is a fair one and quickly accepts his wife's death as well as tried to solve the problem of food and limited supplies, so he makes a lottery to move some people to another shelter. This is a lie, which the dead guy who wrote teh diary is made privy too because he is asked by Hana's father to entertain the people before they are put to sleep and than killed. It's also Hana's father who accepts that the shelter has failed first due to the virus and makes the harsh choice that they are to be entombed to protect the outside world, including killing himself.

Ther pregnant girl gives birth. Natsu & Asui end up very close. They also discover a message in a bottle from America & find out that their are other survivors in other lands specifically in the USA 🇺🇸 3 of then take the boat to explore & hopefully find more people. The samurai looking dude discover his kids are in cryostasis with other kids & is going to try to figure out how to revive them. There is more to the story but that's the gist of the ending.

I cannot remember if it is shown in the anime - though she is starting to work with the rope. In the manga she switches the safety eyelet and sees a small hangover on the wall where she pendles to. The rope still breacks of since the new eyelet breaks out of the wall but she has barely enough momentum to reach the handover- The water thing is devinetly plot armor.

You are doing wonderful things, and I enjoy this channel so much. As an amine fan who has grown up to be a biologist I would like to commend you on your general take of the many strange living things that these characters have encountered, even if the details of the science are a bit simplified or misused in places. I get why, you are presenting an amine plot, not teaching a science class, and just adding a bit of background info to justify your interpretations, critical thinking and proposed solutions. However, It's always hard to watch someone break down a topic that you are a passionate expert in and not want to interject more details, like that the kind of moss you named is a "true moss" reproduces through either fragmentation or spores rather than seeds... but that's not exactly relevant to the idea of propagating it to help decay a stone landmark. Anyways, I'm looking forward to your other videos, and dreading catching up to your latest post, so clearly you are doing it right. Keep up the good work!

Old Green Shirt Guy had plot armour as well, just not the good kind. The armour being that no one, NO One, periodically checked his stab wound if at all. Wasn't even mentioned. You get stabbed by an unknown species but yeah no need to see how the wound looks and progresses.. This is basic survival here. But he needed to be protected from the common sense of basic survival for the good of driving the plot.
