The HTC One, an even more immaculate example of thoughtful engineering, is the new hottest thing. Rarely is a company in the same playing field as Apple when considering design. But the One: it matches and even surpasses Jony Ive's most prized creation. If merely seeing pictures of the device doesn't convince you, you'll immediately get it as soon as you hold the One. I'm not for one or the other, but people keep saying the IPhone is the same shit every year (which I agree with) but so are most of the smartphones now-a-days. The Samsung Galaxy for example is pretty much the same design also. Companies now are just changing the operating system, cameras, and little things like that but keeping the design, because that is what people like about the phone the choose...so people need to quit hating on just the IPhone and open their eyes and realize the fact that not much changes with all the phones out there today either...

Actually,they didn't change their UI is because the current UI is still making money for them.HTC made a lot of risk for the upgrade from HTC One X to HTC One.Companies are like that,if what they are doing now increases their consumers,then there's no need to change their operating systems.

Just switched from the iPhone4 to the HTC One, I've been missing out. Apple felt like being in a derp herp prison. HTC One is insanely customisable and is better in every way, Batman certified, no half eaten fruity dance on this one. Love the HDR picture quality as well.

Omg! I Just switched from iphone 5s to htc one yesterday and all I can say is wow unbelievable why hadnt I made this switch before ? I know have a big beautiful HD screen, I can now set custom ringtones, add music and videos from anywhere without being locked to a 3rd party app itunes type bullshyt, I can set live vibrant wallpapers, I can now download torrents right on my phone from anywhere using my phones unlimited data with bittorent app ~Yify~ Im able to carry all my files on my phone and not require a usb stick I was able to download showbox to watch all the newest movies in hd quality, I can go on forever on the many privileges I now have. Htc android Ftw...

I also made the switch a couple months ago after breaking my iPhone screen twice in 2 weeks . Not only is it a better phone it is much more durable . I'm really hard on my phones and my HTC looks brand new after being dropped several times where if I had an iPhone it would be absolutely destroyed lol

I wanted to try the htc one, but in all honesty droid phones irritate me like crazy. Apps shut down etc and I don't download much on my phones. Freeze up and then it'll just turn off. This happens like 5-6 months after I've gotten the phone. The only thing I personally like bout the htc though is the audio cause I'm watching vids like crazy on youtube. I may get it but I'm still leaning more towards apple. Apple just better

Dude go for HTC....I am using iPhone 5 for past 7 months and now I am bored....there is not much personalization in iOS so I am pretty bored of the UI...my friend bought the htc one and it's much more refreshing....if personalization doesn't worry you then go with iPhone

I went from HTC one m7 to iPhone 5s gold. I really just bought the iPhone because I like small phones. I miss the HTC one m7 because siri is just plain stupid. I try to search things like places street names and etc... I ALWAYS have to search by typing it ! iPhone 5s also has annoying loud speakers that screech my ears while the HTC is loud but the sound is quality and doesn't pierce my ear. if you plan to use touchless controls to navigate, call, message, open apps, and email all you have to do is have the phone on and you can access Google by saying "ok Google". While the iphone, you have to ave it charging to do touchless control. Moto x is even more handy with its active listening. Why did I choose IPhone 5s? Because, everyone else had it at the time I guess and since everyone bought it there were a variety of cases. Other than that iPhone sucks ass! It just doesn't have Google by its side. One last thing, I hate it so much when I buy and iPhone charger and it says it's not an authorized cable and refused to charge my phone. I really have to buy from Apple only?!

4 days ago i bought the htc one and so far it has been making my day none stop. This phone is a most have. However, what I would do is experiment on the phone displays that t-mobile has in their stores and see which one is more appealing to you. I had the option of getting the Galaxy S4 but instead i took the htc one and have had no regrets what so ever. One tip of advise, get something you will like to use everyday regardless of everything else. Good luck choosing a new phone. :)

The reason that the HTC one takes so long to charge is so it doesn't damage the battery. People usually charge there phones when they are sleeping so they designed the phone to hit 90% in normal charge time, but the last 10% the phone goes into a sort of trickle charge to not overload the batter and degrade it as much over time. Remember you can't just pop the battery out of the HTC One like you could with previous android phones. This was a design to help keep your phone living strong.

Baught HTC One a week ago and it's a beast, the display is fantastic even when the sun is shining directly on it you can still easily see the whole screen, the sound system is the best one ever put in a smartphone.

Nice review. Glad to see a review that includes user experience. I use both iPhone and android and honestly can't decide between them. Also I totally agree about the app quality being better on ios and there is also minimal adware that gets a sly install with freeware. But android is getting better all the time.

I bought an HTC One, I was never a fan of HTC. I used to use iPhone and then switched over to Samsung, but honestly, this new HTC One is a great phone! Much better than the iphone (I have reasons) here's why; BeatsAudio and BoomSound, Google Voice, Playstore that lets you download apps from your computer directly into your phone, the Ultrapixel camera, with amazing Highlight Feature and SlowMotion, the 1080p screen, the BlinkFeed, Live Wallpapers, the HTC TV remote control, Android's Car Mode.

I own a Mac and an iPad and stuff and I really just love Apple's stuff and proprietary programs and apps like "iMessage" and whatnot and I couldnt see myself giving that up. That said, the HTC One is by far the best Android phone on the market and I never thought I'd see an Android I could even consider wanting. But hats off to HTC, they have done an outstanding job. If i had the money I would DEFINITELY purchase one to go alongside my iPhone.

Thanks for the comparison, I like how you talked more about than just screen size and bells and whistles. To me, smooth usage is important. If I want to play a game or watch a movie I have a laptop for that. My Iphone4 has helped me a lot for work, and I think I will stay with Apple for my upgrade. The HTC One is a gorgeous phone but the pros you gave to Apple are more important to me.

On android, you can change the firmware (the version of the software, Android) to match to another region (for instance : UK, US, FR, ITA, ES, ...). It has both advantage to make you upgrade to newer version faster and download apps from any region. If it is not enough, try to change you IP via a VPN from UK or USA.

Thanks, I think this is a good review. I used iPhone 3s for two year until I accidentally dropped it in water. It was a great phone and I liked it a lot. After that I used Galaxy S2 for two year. It did everything I wanted but I quit liked it. 2 weeks ago I decided to buy a new phone and I made my mind it should be iPhone 5s or HTC one no Samsung any more. After this review I bought the HTC one and it's been a week now. I'm very happy with it and it is really amazing. I recommend the HTC one.

I have both the phones and I can tell you that HTC One is absolutely phenomenal. It is sleek and fast, and super sexy. But still, I am always inclined to pick iPhone up when asked to choose between these two. I love the Apple integration between all their products, its a big plus for me. Moreover, due to the flawless iOS, iPhone does each and every job faster than the HTC One, despite just being a dual core. Also, I love the screen size. I am just saying, iPhone's special.

I have the HTC ONE and love it. Whats not to love? build quality is excellent. Sound is amazing. When hold in hand, feels like very comfortable not cheap quality like galaxy. Overall, this phone beats the rest in its category.

i really don't get it. not even a single reviewr talks about the phone's connectivity to other devices. being able to transfer files easily, fast, and with no need for any special tools from/to your phone device is priceless! this is a huge problem when you're dealing with iphones. over and over again i hear my friends talking about their frustration when it comes to this aspect of using their iphones. i know this is an old point, but it is still valid!
