As this was your first try with the PCVR version of the game, how does the wired dp version compare to the wireless version (with the same headset). Also let's not forget, the DP module is an extra $149 on top of an already steep priced headset.

I don't want pancake lenses at all, I think they are much too dark. I want the brightness of the psvr2, I have the brightness set to maximum and the image remains perfect, if I do that with my pico4 the image quality deteriorates

Eye shadow is very important, which allows the world ratio to be presented at 1:1. Quest3 feels like about 1:1.2 to me, and you will see inner corner frames from time to time, which greatly affects the sense of immersion. The upper and lower FOV must be large enough. At least it should be like PICO4, so that you don't have to lower your head to pick up things when playing games like RPG.

So pretty much if you already have a Vive Pro 2 there is no need to look at this one? Waiting for something to come out that world be a worthy upgrade from my VP2. I also have the knuckles controllers so looking for lighthouse tracking to keep those.

Yep, this is pretty much a Vive Pro 2 with insude out tracking and wireless built in plus eye tracking.

This is such a dark game! Does it really look alright in the LCD screen of the Vive Focus Vision? I'm asking after already buying (and I also redeemed Metro Awakening PC as well, but haven't tried yet). I'm asking because I found dark area detail completely washed out in The Marvellous Machine short VR experience and that's set in underground industrial area and Victorian sewers which should be similar to this. Washed out not only in Vive Focus Vision, but also on my previous Pimax 8KX.

You could play wirelessly via Virtual Desktop if you want. Cable is 5m from the breakout box which will give you another meter.

What about Focus Vision in DCS, is there a conspiracy no one is talking nor testing this new VR headset in DCS. I'm looking and looking... there is no information I could find about it and I would like to know how it performs or can run DCS without Steamvr. Focus Vision seems to be perfect replacement fo G2 if the one is not going for Pimax/Meta.

Comparing this $1000 headset to a $450 Quest 3 isn't helping me (like DUH it should be better!); I'd much prefer you compare this to something closer to its price point, like the $800 Pimax or other.
@mixedrealityTV21 күн бұрын
Yeah, I got you. This was a first k impression video though, just checking it out and letting you know my first thoughts! Visually the Pimax is better but this has eye tracking and wireless which is pretty cool.

The problem is, when comparing to Q3, it only wins in the dp connection part. Anything else is either no big difference or much worse.

I'll take anything over the awful compression of a Quest headset in PCVR.

Then this could be your headset. But again, binocular overlap and lenses are weak points here.

Everyone praises these VR glasses, it's a pity that no one mentions that the lenses in these VR glasses are useless and the image displayed in them is of poor quality. After 10 minutes, the eyes get tired and start to hurt. and those damn white streaks are really irritating to the eyes . Quest 3 VR is less than half the price and has better visibility and image quality in the lenses . HTC Vive Focus Vision don't buy this crap it's a waste of money . I know what I'm talking about, I also watched on KZbin about these goggles and everyone raves about them but doesn't talk about the flaws that are important before you buy such a product . I bought these VR goggles myself and I regretted it after 15 minutes of using this crap for big money

What are you even talking about? I've owned every oculus product and I'm looking to see if this is an upgrade from a Q3. Prior to the Q3, everything was fresnel lenses and they don't make your eyes tired... All these reviewers don't say this is an issue at all

I would need to see this compared to the wireless compressed quest 3 version. Even then, I’d still probably favor the quest 3 because of the pancake lenses, ease of use, and untethered freedom.

Freedom to give all your data to Meta and creating a Monopol or are we talking freedom of movement, which is possible with this headset too of cause because you can use it wirelessly too. The interesting thing about this headset is: It does it all if you want to and you still do not have to give Meta or TikTok all the data you can (credit card, email, name, address, movement, eye / face scans, hand / finger prints, high res depth scans of your house, preferences, voice samples, telefon number, friends data, etc. you name it. Meta and TikTok have a reason to make their headset very cheap...
@dirkdex21 күн бұрын
@@ContinuumGaming Just talking about best picture quality - tethered display port vs untethered quest 3. Quest 3 would still likely win.
@ContinuumGaming21 күн бұрын
@@dirkdex In which case? wired vs. unwired? Not even close. Compression artifacts of wireless connection will kill that... there is just not the same bandwich available for wireless especially at not ideal wireless condition (=most of the cases). It is not even something you can critic the Quest 3 for... it is just a technical limitation for wireless. Maybe wireless vs wireless, but I do not see a big indicator to believe that currently, since the LCD of the Quest 3 seems to be worse, at least from what I hear in the video. I would say before there is not a good test I would define both to be equal in that regard till I get a real test proving that statement wrong. And from a technical point of view, Displayport wired beats any wireless connection and a high level gaming PC beats anything that could fit into a small form factor like that additional to that.

I also prefer Oled, but lcd does have it's advantages too, like brightness, low persistence and price!
@importon21 күн бұрын
@@mixedrealityTV That like saying CRT monitors have advantages over flat screens. "They're more durable if something hits the screen. They don't fall over as easily because they're heavier and cube shaped." OLED > LCD in every way.
@SpacehotelMusic21 күн бұрын
Without OLED it's not even really VR. OLED is vital to immersion above almost anything else.
@ContinuumGaming21 күн бұрын
@@importon Not really... burn in for instance is bad on OLED (not too much of a problem on VR, because you are constantly moving pixels, but still technology vise that is pretty bad), OLED is expensive, OLEDs brightness isnt as high, OLED has a more prominent screen door effect at the same resolution, etc. It has better colors of cause, but most other stuff isnt automatically nicer, especially if you compare expensive LCD to cheap OLEDs (and even then OLED might be more expensive). I would say, do not judge before you tested it, especially not if you are not comparing it all the time, which you very likely wont do.

@@ContinuumGaming Appreciate the effort but there's 0 chance of convincing me to ever by an LCD HMD ever again. Much of what you said is a myth especially price. Sony sells an OLED headset with eyetracking, haptics, controllers, the best ergonomics and a AAA game included for $350!!!!!
