@@Timotarius_ wireless charging is crap, Huawei mate 20 series has the quickest wireless charging compared to any other phone and it's slow. I tried it a couple times on my own mate 20.

@@Y-J65 yeah but we aren't talking about the huawei mate 20 pro or mate 20 , we are talking about the mate 20 x. wireless charging is indeed not the best thing yet , but it will gradually become better at charging with new tech. its just a good thing to have, and the huawei mate 20 x just doesn't deliver anything but a great sized phone with a lack of hardware features that we have come to expect to be standard on phones of that price range.

@@Timotarius_ the mate 20 X has everything the pro has same cameras, processor and extra features such as improved sound, stylus support, multi liquid cooled chambers, 5000mah battery and a tear drop notch. It's missing wireless charging which is useless, qhd which you can't really tell from 1080 to 1440 and and it isn't water proof. The mate 20x costs less then the IPhone XR and is better then the X's max.

I went from iPhone 6 to mate 10 pro too. the mate 10 pro may be two years old but it's very very fast. i actually put it up against the s10+ and it's still just as fast lol.. I'm thinking to get the mate 20 x as i do feel like having a massive phone but from Huawei.

The battery on 20X is definitely very good. I was at the hospital today and to burn time I used my phone heavily with several Apps open. After 9 1/2 hours I still had 50% battery left. As for one of my favorite features, surprisingly enough it's the M-Pen. I'm a Samsung Note user and the M-Pen because of its size has a much better feel. I use the pen to hand write text using Google Handwriting keyboard when I want a break from SwiftKey and writing on my daily journal. Scrolling and even swiping on SwiftKey is good with the pen which I'm using now typing this comment. The Flip Cover that came with my phone has a slot for the M-Pen. I want to add one more positive for this phone. Unlike my previous Samsung and LG phones which would at times get really hot that I have to reboot the phone, the Mate 20X is always cool to the touch

I use a 15" 4K laptop and my Desktop monitor is 35" at 1440. When I switch from my laptop to my desktop the text on my desktop monitor are not sharp. But after using it for several hours my eyes eventually adjust. It's the same when I moved from my LG phone with higher resolution to the 20X. I've been using the 20X for the past week and the text, pics and videos now look sharper and vivid than before.

I'm using for almost 1.5 years now the battery life is still great, no problems with Google so far. Every 4 months Huawei released security patch for this phone

I have been using a Nexus 6 for the last 4 years , it still runs ok but I have been looking for a replacement. I'm not thrilled about the new aspect ratio , however given the height of this phone and the width is wider than my N6 , so guess I will bite the bullet and buy it , thanks for the review.👍👍

I think it probably will as it’s obviously their main market, but I wouldn’t worry about that, I am still getting updates to this phone, and I don’t regret having the Global version. App compatibility can be a major issue with China version Huawei and Honor phones, so always get the Global version if you can. Thanks for watching!

I've got this and the Mate 20 Pro and have been deciding between which to keep... I love them both but I just don't think I can deal with the size of the X.... The way in which I can just quickly take out the Pro to snap a quick picture with one hand is something I can't really do (certainly not as easily!) on the X. And with no LED notification light as well, I just don't think I can keep the X. I really do love the screen and speakers though! Shame.

It’s nice you have that option! I got one never intended to get the Pro because I just don’t like the curved screen edges like on Samsung phones. I much prefer the flat screen on the X. But makes sense probably to keep the pro as it has more features (wireless charging, IP68, reverses charging etc)

@@pieloverrecords6100 hey, I must admit there is a sliiiight green tint around the edges when I've got something grey on the display but not really very noticeable, can only really see when I've got the screen brightness really low. Otherwise it's all good. Definitely no way near as bad as some pictures I've seen of other people's phones.

Hey Frankie Tech!!! Great video!!!! I have been pondering about getting this phone for some time now. I just had a difficult time deciding because I've had others that I wind up ridding of. While I'd like to have this one as one of a secondary phone, I DID just start using the galaxy S10 plus; I was curious about the speaker performance quality between the S10+ and the Huawei Mate 20X. So if possible (not sure if you're willing to do a comparison video on the two), could you share your thoughts on both as far as their speaker quality goes. Which would you say is louder and fuller? Are the speakers on the 20x supposed to vibrate if you place your palms over them. After the latest update I think my speakers don't seem loud as when it was factory and I can't remember them vibrating.

M using note 10 its battery is not as good as mate x but it is far more better than mi max3/ note 10 screen size is smaller than X while the body size is bigger. Over all note 10 is very good comparing to other big phone, just next to X. By the way charging speed is as good as mate X

Been using this phone for a week.. its a fantastic phone, but coming from af LG G6 with an insane PPI, i must say that i would like a phone with a higher ppi.. However the screen is still gorgeous, and comparing diffrent UHD wallpapers on this phones side by side to the LG G6, i must say thay i cant go back to the LG G6, since the indidual OLED pixel provided by the Samsung pannel on this phone is wastely superiour to the LCD pixels on the LG G6 (althrough the LG G6 still has a fairly good screen). The build quality on mate 20x is also top of the line. TLDR. Do i like this phone YES! Is the pixel visible to a young man with 24-vision at a very small distance Heck Yes! Is the "low" PPI a problem, Mostly not! (only at static, high contrast content with some seriously badly implemented corners) Would i reccomend this phone? FUCKIGN YES!! It even has a 3.5mm headphone jack!

Hehe sounds like you really like this phone! I definitely loved my time with the Mate 20X, but I do agree the pixel density is the one negative about the display experience. I hope Huawei can include Quad HD displays in these bigger phones in the future. It would be perfect then!

Yes I understand! It actually will use the notch area, so that may not be the best, but it doesn’t bother me actually on this device!

It's IP53 , what's the point IPX4 is considered sweat proof what do you expect . It has NO waterproofing. A too big issue which wasn't a huge deal for manufacturers like Samsung. Why is is 1080p on a huge display ?

Gentleman, i am kinda of lost. I do not know which phone i should choose. Currently using note 9 512gb 8gb ram but am considering for Huawei Mate 20x but dealers told me to get Huawei P30 pro which is far much better. But the issue is when i make a comparement between all three phones it claims Note 9 is better due to the pixel. Gentlemans, pleased advised to which is better???

I was so, SO excited for this phone - then I saw the IP53 rating. I actually convinced myself that it probably wouldn't matter, it'd be fine, I'd literally never dropped a phone into water ever... And barely an hour later I dropped my Nokia 7 Plus in the sink and killed it. My current phone (Xiaomi Mi Max 3) isn't IP rated either, but it's also less than half the price of the Mate 20 X. I'm crossing my fingers for a higher IP rating when/if Huawei launches a Mate 30 X - I'd be all over that!

I like big screens and I cannot lie! LOL.. I also want a good camera with a wide-angle lens option, just like my old LG-V20. I guess this phone fits my criteria, but OS updates, warranty, and using it on US LTE bands (T-mobile) is always a concern with Chinese phones.
