First saw and heard Hubert Sumlin i 1972 with Howling Wolf in 1972 at the Esquire Show Bar (Montreal). Best show I’d ever seen before or since! Saw him again at a Blues joint in MTL with Pinetop Perkins at the the ‘G Sharp’ in ‘92. It was the third night of a two-night gig. Fourteen fans in a tiny blues juke-joint!! Owner Gary Sharp passing around shots of Bourbon, great night! At intermission, I told Mr. Sumlin about seeing him twenty years before, and naming every member of the band. Caught his attention! We sat on the piano bench for a few minutes, talking about the blues. A true gentleman (and chicken farmer) who played everything except what was expected of him! I will never forget Hubert Sumlin,RIP!

Don, absolutely love this song. It kinda makes me tear up and I think it's romantic and perfect for the first dance of the bride and groom at a wedding. When he sings "I love you girl, all my problems I had, baby baby baby baby baby, it was yours just like it was mine". Oooooooo, ouch. Fantastic.
