Nice review! Will Sony fix the repro across the board with a ps5 update or will Cyborn patch Hubris to fix it? Not sure if this fix will be global or local/game based. Should I wait until they fix it before jumping in or is it good enough right now?

It still looks great and I would still recommend it, but Sony needs to update repro asap especially for big AAA games later on

I've appreciated your observation about the AI in Hubris now that I"m playing it. It's surprisingly excellent. I can barely stand The Light Brigade because of enemies just shooting at something that I'm hiding behind endlessly: (1) they shouldn't be able to see me and (2) it's obviously pointless to keep shooting at something I'm hiding behind. So, Hubris is a really pleasant surprise in this way: enemies do NOT see you from behind things or otherwise know things that they shouldn't, and they do things like camp out and wait for you or go looking for you. That all by itself makes this whole game being worthwhile as far as I'm concerned. I took the advice to put it at the highest difficulty though, and I have to confess that I'm finding it to be pretty hard! But fair. It's a little bit of a shame that the story is pretty weak, but I'm not finding it to be offensive either.

Thanks dude! Glad you went for the higher difficulty even though it's a bit more challenging. It just seems like the way the game was meant to be experienced imo. And yeah, really love that the AI is aggressive and tries to be sneaky. It works well too because of pretty forgiving checkpoints so it's very much "try again" vs "start over". Glad you're enjoying it, I definitely think this is a good standard for a small indie game.

Thanks dude! I prefer a 10-15 hour game myself, but I wouldn’t fault this game for one second for being 5 hours long. It has 20 chapters and that’s all gameplay, no padding, no boring cutscenes etc. if the game just doesn’t look like your cup of tea totally cool, but red matter 2 was shorter and nobody was complaining. I hear it all dude, I hear it all…

As far as I understand it reprojection is mainly used for turning with the right stick if you stop using it and turn in real life then you wont notice. I play all my games like this and call of the mountain (one of the worst culprits)is like a different game.

Big disappointment for me. The 60fps cap, motion duplication, Soft blurry visuals, animation stuttering, and semi lack of 3D pop, and average game play had me tuning out not even an hour in. Maybe a PS5 Pro could get it running at 90fps(No motion duplication, and life-like motion), and a sharp 2000x2040 per eye. As is, Hurbis on PSVR2 looks compromised. Should of got Red Matter 2 instead. I hear it runs at a native 120fps and looks crystal clear. the PSVR2's cable is also such an immersion breaker, it's that barrier that desperately needs to go. Plus the OLED display's motion handling just isn't up to snuff. you trade motion for brightness the higher you raise the slider. At it's lowest, you get a 2ms motion persistence, but only at 60nits which is unrealistically dim. Q2 offers 100 nits at 1ms(Head movement blur free). in order to get the same level of brightness you have to raise the VR2 slider to the 4th point to get 110 nits, but then the motion persistence is well over 2ms. lol PSVR2 is such a frustrating headset. I feel so conflicted with it. But i refuse to let it go strictly because of Resident Evil: Village, the upcoming RE4 VR Mode and AstroBot sequel, if that even happens. PSVR2 is worth buying just for RE VIllage, it's that incredible.
