These calibrations are all for the Zino 2 and Zino 2+ except for the 6 side IMU calibration which is only for the Zino 2+ currently as I noted at the 3:00 minute mark.

Thanks for the calibration video. I got my Hubsan zino 2+ with ND filters. I am wondering if camera has lens cap that can be unscrewed and then filter is placed on camera lens and screwed back ?.

Yes that’s how they work. Not good filters though... If you’re serious about quality get the freewell filters for the parrot anafi. They are a perfect fit....

No just a compass calibration and then no need again unless you see out of the normal odd behavior, crash or update the firmware.

Do you believe it's critical to make a Horizontal calibration before IMU calibration or versa? Because at later x-hubsan 2 app versions they indicate that IMU should be done first and the order in the app is IMU first and then horizontal. However on older app versions the sequence was first the horizontal and last the IMU. I don't know if this really matters though🤔. The gimbal calibration is the last step indoors and the compass is the final step outdoors.

I don’t think it’s critical either but I do IMU after the horizontal personally.

@@QCGUY Ok great! Considering the same logic also for Zino standard and Zino Pro and after a firmware update either FC or gimbal firmware you do horizontal first and then the "in depth" calibration with 6-axis using the tool 1.1 software and the calibration cover for the aircraft?

@@QCGUY I still wonder if there is some kind of calibration tool and software for the Zino2 standard. Since the app has been stuck only with horizontal calibration and there is not any option of IMU on the settings. Maybe some kind of tool similar to Zino first generation 🤔

@@vcdroneGR I think they planned on it but never produced it. Look at how different the Z2+ gimbal covers are and how similar they are the the ones of zino’s cover tool.

How would this compare to the DJI Mavic Air 2 or the Mini 2?? This goes faster I think & better in wind...?? The price is way better too...

@@EZETechnRC it’s good if you get a working one and avoid updating but they are a bit jerky on the controls if you’re not use to it. I can tell people mine is good, I enjoy it and everything but I can’t recommend it with a clear conscience.

@@QCGUY OK good to know.. Been flying DJI since the Phantoms and flying FPV... Reliability is huge when flying and DJI seems to set the bar with that... But Autel is there too they have great machines... Used to have the Yuneec Q500 Typhoon.. Too bad they never lasted after the H model..

@@EZETechnRC Yeah you wouldn’t like it in comparison to all you mentioned including the yuneec. If you want something like this just to fly with no worries of expensive loss should something happen I say FIMI X8 SE 2020.

Will the Z2 operate/fly without the phone attached? I realize most of the functions will be disabled. Haven't even started the motors yet. I did the calibrations with the phone but not getting video. I could be having an issue with phone as I don't have video ( I have the recommended card). Thank you in advance.

Thanks for the video! Do you only do these calibrations once? I used to do the compass calibration every time before I flew my Zino, maybe that was part of my issue?

No need to do these calibrations every single time you fly; as said it's good practice to do them before your very first flight, but also after a firmware update. When you start to notice that your quad isn't as stabile in the air as it was: calibrations will often correct that. And take your time to do these calibrations; rushing thru them will often result in bad calibrations. And: whenever you have a crash, always do your calibrations before getting into a flight again!

As I said in the video it is my recommendation you do these out of the box. No need to do them after that and just remember if it works after that leave it alone because doing them every time increases the chance of doing it wrong.

I just ordered my Zino 2+ and wanted to check if all the calibrations have to be done before each flight or they were set it and forget it except the compass?

I make it a habit to do every calibration there is when new out of the box and don’t do them again unless there’s a update with mainly the flight control or if the quad starts acting oddly. No need to do them any other time. 👍🏻

QC Guy, I have the Zino2 Plus and after my first power up there was a notice of an update, so I updated it. Currently, Aircraft is V1.1.6, Controller V1.0.3. My question is why would the Hubsan TOFNO1 show as Zino2_TOFNo1_V1.9.8 and the Gimbal show Zino2_G_V1.0.1.3 while the rest of the versions in the list shown as (Zino2+)_xxxxx? Should all reflect my model type of ~2+?

Welcome to Hubsan who makes one model and then does it again by adding plus to the name when nothing is really all that different except for some mistakes being correct and new ones created.

Once unless it starts acting erratically or you have had a bad crash. After updating is a good practice as well.

IMU calibration is not available in the Zino 2 selection of the app. Just for the Zino 2 + and the Zino Pro+.
