Huevos I

Con el pretexto de la ociosidad y el aumento del tiempo libre, les presento mis versiones de desayuno en huevos, mientras mi esposa toma la camara y sintoniza la radio, cada mañana se vuelve un gustito diferente...
Esta receta se llama huevos a la canasta, (con sus variantes), los ingredientes son, mantequilla, pan de caja, huevos, se frie hasta que dore y se sirve como tostadas, se come como quieras y acompañado de lo que quieras...

Love the music! Makes me want to " slinky dance" In the South, we just called this " eggs on toast". Boring, but one of the first things my mom taught each of us ( four kids) to cook while she was at work. They are quick and good..cheese on top, I agree, makes it even better!

I remember making those as a child it's called a "Polk in a hole" and has been around since my mother was a child, except we use too take the center and placed it on top before flipping. You can add cheese at that point as well to make it realy good. Add some pepper jack for spicy or cheder for a sharp flavor depends on the mood of your palet :) Thank You for sharing brought back kind memories :)

It's called an egg in a basket. I make those a little bit different. I use those two bread pieces on top of each other with cheese between them (leave the hole without). After you've pore in the egg, you top it with cheese and when it melts you flip it over. The melted cheese that floods on the side you smear that on the side of the bread. The top you cover that with cheese also. When the bottom is crispy, you flip the basket ones more and do the same with the other side. You can use some salt and pepper, Italian herbs, curry powder. Even try some sliced ham with it.

Sarednaid I don't know. I think the majority of the people here are North American and most of us don't like this idea. I hate it. Never been a fan of ketchup on eggs. What's the point? Once you put all that time and effort into cooking and seasoning an egg to only cover all the flavor with ketchup? That should be a felony crime.
