I never saw Ronnie in person in his prime but I saw Dorian in person up close and guest pose at the 1995 NPC Nationals in New Orleans…Dorian is and was the freakiest looking bodybuilder I’ve ever seen in person. He looked like those MuscleHedz cartoons they used to have in Flex magazine

I call him the Columbian Colossal is the real deal. No pun intended to the original Real Deal Chris Cormier. Once Rubiel gets more delts, back and overall upper body with about 10% conditioning, he is Mr Olympia. I give him 2-3 years. People talked all that bs about Phil Heath being too narrow. But he has the cartoonish muscle belies and conditioning. Rubiel is similar as for width. But he has the mass to make it up. I was very impressed with his presentation/posing. He did better than most pros. That side tricep of his is wicked!! The last side tricep I saw that was that impressive was the late Paul DeMayo and it was mainly his cray tricep that stood out. Rubiel’s side tricep is overall more complete. He just needs to hit that outside shoulder better. I wish Rubiel the best of luck! I hope he is able to get that visa and come and live with Chris Cormier. He can win the Arnold in 2025 and the O by 2027.

Nothing to do with loving Dorian more, Dorian was chiseled granite and great symmetry. I agree with the real deal, Ronnie was amazing but did look smooth compared to what we think is best. Personally, I think Ronnie is the nicest guy that ever competed. We're all allowed to have our own opinions. And Gunter is another example of how Ronnie s torso was shorter and didn't have that same width when compared to him and Dorian. When Dorian tore his bicep he had to make up for it by continuing to grow but had to keep his goid arm at a minimum for symmetry.

if Rubiel has competed 8 times, he technically has more stage experience than Andrew Jacked, Hunter Labrada. Hes "new" to the IFBB. but lets stop assuming he just started competing. He was an established pro in IFBB Elite

Chris made a comment about Ronnie's legs at his novice stage when he first turned pro. Ronnie always had good balanced proportions but was just light. Ronnie was 215lbs at 5ft 11 in 1992. Ar that time the best 5ft 11 bodybuilders were competing at around 245lbs to 250lbs. Even today in Classic Physique the weight limit for a 5ft 11 bodybuilder is approximately 230lbs. I don't think Ronnie's legs were proportionately too small. He was just too light.

When Ronnie was between 220 and 240 he was definitely natural. His conditioning was just way different, and once he started with the roids he grew like crazy. Only going from natural to roid could he possibly grow that much, and even considering that it was tons of growth. Kai Greene is another one that was HUGE natural, many say the biggest natural they have seen. I mean he has that pic on his instagram when he was 18 in high school. It was off season for bodybuilding and he was already 250 or so, and he wasn't fat by any means. Even he was natural, and wasn't anywhere near lean obviously, but considering he was 250 natural with reasonably low body fat, it's pretty insane. This was very early on for him as well.

I saw Ronnie an Dorian in their Prime. Ronnie had the gnarliest overall muscle size and condition, but he was a lousy poser and his physique didn't flow tremendously well especially in the abdominal and calf area. Lee Haney is still the king! I saw the 91 Olympia and Haney smoked Dorian in the rear lat spread!

This is not a shot at Dex either. It’s the fact. That 2009 Dex was amazing! Sharper and fuller than 08. It was apples vs oranges between the top 2 and Dex. 2009 was an amazing package!!

Ronnie did eventually get Pd4pd a bit bigger than Dorian. That said, he never showed up bigger than Dorian still showing quite that insane level of grainy, granite quality anymore. Dorian at his best in my opinion is The best, most complete Mr.O there's been. Really through you'd have to see Ronnie vs. Dorian when they were both around 260lbs on stage next to each other from judge's vantage to say absolutely and for sure who really best, at each's truly best package. Otherwise it still breaks down to opinion from video/stills.

Dorian’s posing was flawless and polished meanwhile Ronnie’s was awkward and lackluster. Dorian is the OVERALL better bodybuilder because most years for Ronnie the guy was way too distended. Ronnie’s mythical status of being so gigantic is why people think he’s the GOAT, but he really only had amazing quality his first year. Dorian had top quality multiple times and his bad years were on par with Ronnie’s bad years.
