Dennis. The level of competition right now is probably as competitive as it’s ever been. It dropped off for a bit, but look at Hadi, Samson, Brandon, Derek, Nick, Ramy, Bonac, Andrew, Krizo, Hunter… they are all pretty solid. It’s getting better as far as parity across the top 8-10 bodybuilders

I followed bodybuilding since the late 80s. Jay Cutler was one of the biggest surprises even Lonnie Tepper didn't think he was going to do any good as a pro. I felt the same way but after witnessing him in 2001 in 2009 he certainly shocked the world he was a great Underdog! Nick Walker is kind of like that now. Some guys it's much more easy to spot the potential.

Jay's shoulders disappeared once he went on propa TRT, His shoulders were no doubt his best body part and must have been loaded with prime androgen receptors. His shoulders aren't coming back unless he hits the gear hard again (1,500mg/week type stuff). Why would you bother doing that at 50 years of age ? (Madness).
