I just love the thematic idea of sending a Dreadnought and breachers down a tight hallway on a ship or ZM. Like they just breached an enemy ship and an elite boarding team is there to mess shit up. I love you guys’ videos keep it up!

Love the review. It's great to see coverage about Zone Mortalis. We're doing our dive into the new rules this week. We've played a few games and some of the key things we've sussed out that you didn't have chance to go over. 1. Reactions have changed quite a bit. Advanced Reactions and Legion Advanced Reactions are allowed. So Interceptor is huge cause its better than Supress. Also Brace allowing you to auto rally is better than the White Dwarf where you could get run down and swept. 2. Deep striking units get -1 to the reinforcement points required to bring them on! So an Assault Squad could be free to bring on from the back! 😉(Charging from reserves/outflanking is up for debate, cause reserves normally can't. But can units with Deep Strike and Outflank charge when they come in?) 3. The random game turns up to 6 also adds an element of tactics to the game. Our first game of ZM was exactly as you've described, with new rule variations popping up as we played. The nuances are there. But I can see people being on both sides of the fence for the changes. Guess time will tell.

Awesome. I completely forgot Cthonia had the ZM rules, can't wait to get my hands on this book. I would love a deep dive into tactics and how ZM changes lists. I hear you talking Tacticals - how does the terrain impact Tacticals? My collection of Tactical marines spans decades, currently no models have bayonets - should I start strapping bayonets on them? What about Despoilers or Breachers? Saving for last because the book may answer this and I'm just impatient - what are the points or FOC restrictions, if any beyond what you mentioned? If in a 1500pt game I bring Vulkan and some Firedrakes, that's 4 reinforcement points (50% discount for warlord) to start, use the last two to First Strike on a 4+? (Or is it 5+?) Or bring a Praetor and beefy Huscarl unit and seize on a 2 as you suggested? Thanks for the discussion and keeping the thrill of the Heresy alive

Honestly i think POL nignt lords it might be worth running contekar as troops because the short range benefits their guns and the overall lower amount of 2+ save units can get some serious results

You seem to be a little off with the Deepstrike thing :) Deep strike reduces the cost of a counter assault deployment by 1 RP.

found out today, We never used it so I just assumed wrong when i saw it on the chart. Its -1 points cost to deploy which is awesome.
