Perfectly Splendid! What separates you from the boys is you know exactly where to start the pulling. I would not have known to start on the side you did at this point.

20:36 You are pushing down on the end of the rode to push up on the other end of the rood (under the hood). Meaning there's a pivot point. But where is the pivot point and what is it? is it a hole in the hood (regardless you drilled it or not). If so, aren't you bending the metal at that pivot hole (point)?
@denttime2 жыл бұрын
No because the curve in our tools allows use to maintain leverage without damaging the access point.

I really like the idea of thinking about the progression of how the dent was formed and then reverse that progression to pull it out. That was impressive to see that dent removal concept in action and how quick and effective it was!

Can you suction cup any dent? Is it possible to mess it up more especially if you've never done it before?
@harshabiliangady32114 жыл бұрын
A Principle in Medicine for example when a narrower part of the intestines goes into a wider portion called ‘Intusussuption’ it is the ‘part that went in first comes out last’ therefore the centre of the dent comes out last.
@luciusirving59262 жыл бұрын
If a hood is bent, then you should loosen the metal, pull the dents out by any means necessary, put screws on the edge on that hood then hammer rivet pieces or solid rivets in holes.
@williemcmaster94223 жыл бұрын
What kind of pricing should you charge for doing a dent like this? And how hard is it to talk a body shop out of just replacing the hood and repainting? So many?????🤔. You make it look so easy.

Also, rather than pushing on every individual micro low with the tip of a rod, if you could fit a whale tail being a panel and slide it back and forth with some pressure, wouldn’t that smooth out the last bits of distortion?

Fantastic work man. Let me ask you if you put another half hour to an hour could you make the zebra stripes as sharp as the other ones? right now they are equidistant and direction-ally correct and the right progressive width but they are jagged, I wonder if with the sharper tool complete restoring could be achieved. I am a car designer by the way and we do the same type of work in CAD pushing and pulling on surfaces with the Zebra-Candy stripe filter turned on so this feels second nature to me. lol

I am learning PDR all on my own, I bought some PDR tools on Ebay, I solicit old cars that has PDR type of damage, and try my best on each car or van, I do this FREE OF CHARGE, But with NO GUARANTEE, I WATCH THESE VIDEOS, and apply what I see, i am OK at it now, I found that Glue Pulling gives a major advantage. so if you can't get trained by a pro try it on your own. 😁
