Love your cashmere collection! Mine is only 1/10th as large at best. I didn't notice any coats in your closet. Do you keep them all by your front door? What strategy do you suggest for storing coats for those of us who don't have a coat closet and don't want to hang them out in the open?

I installed a coat rack inside the cupboard under the stairs. It’s not beautiful but does the trick so there aren’t too many by the door.

Do you dry clean all your cashmere? As much as I love cashmere I really don’t like the hassle of dry cleaning and hand washing seems to still leave it a bit shriveled and not as nice 😆

Never!! It really damages it. Hand wash in sink, really a spot clean. Baby shampoo or specialty soap, dry flat ♥️

They are in my vanity! I didn’t show it because I’d like to find a better way of organizing them but other than the larger totes you saw in the closet, everything fits in the vanity which I’m really happy about

Hi Elle, thank you so much for sharing. A friend gifted me her gently used cashmere sweater which she only wore a few times. Problem is it has a strong fragrance smell on it (which is not my fav smell) I hand soaked it twice in cool water and even tried a tiny drop of vinegar but it still smells of this Hermes fragrance. Anything else u could share that might help remove the smell ? Please and thank you.

Try a little Castile soap, well diluted in warm water? I know baking soda is great with lifting scent but I would only do that as a very last resort since I think a basic solution like that would damage the fibres

I would recommend to put the sweater in a plastic bag and put it in the freezer for some time, it has done the trick for me, and after that let it "air dry" or give it a wash.
