I'd personally like to see some set love. Love the Trangs Idea, but adding something to Aldur's or making a change to how the %ED bonus from the full set effects the weapon (giving it more damage and making it viable for a fury druid) would be amazing. Another one would be for Nats set, Notice how it is the only set that doesn't get any green text bonus stats? Give it some + to traps on the claws, and a + all skills on the helm and budget trapper would be very viable, especially since they updated +element damage and - enemy resistance for traps on the assassin, Nats set has a lot of sockets, could be interesting. Griswold set, another set that is so close to being up there with Tal Rasha, throw some CB on the weapon and make it indestructible (one big issue with Gris weapon is it breaks very often) Throw a little + flat damage (i've tested and 200+ flat damage with 20%CB on the weapon via green text makes it an amazing budget smiter or trav farmer) IK set, only thing I'd really like to see changed is the gloves Freezes target, take that out and you'll have a better change of having corpses left over to hork making IK set a great horking build on a budget. Mavina's Set, Would like to see more sockets on the bow, and maybe throw some +%/-% to fire element damage so a hybrid build becomes viable without having to socket facets to up the fire damage (I know the sunder charms exsist) but the - element resist on Mav's or any bowazon sucks since it's one of the sets that even with the full set bonus of +50 resist all still gives negative resist in hell. I'm a huge fan of the sets and have played the game since 2001, and now finding the final piece for the set (with all the runewords out there) just doesn't feel as good. Would like to see your take on what you would change on the Full Class Sets to make them viable but not overpowered vs their high runeword counter part.

Totally agree that +1 Teleport on Sets or Uniques is the way to go. There is no putting the demon back in the bottle at this point. Teleport is just too good. If they want people to move away from Enigma being used by virtually everyone they gotta do this.

Plus 1 to summon on every aldurs item. Right now the set is complete shut atm. Hybrid option on mavina set. Wear bow in 1 slot and spears/javelin in second slot. Both items make the set complete and give different bonuses. That would make a great hybrid.

Good one but Hybrid can't be done in the current state of the game. But they can completely remove the weapon in the set to allow javazon and spearzon to use it...and add maybe a ring. There are no high level set rings...

I would honestly rather see something like that with an item like "Wisp Projector" instead of tying it to class specific sets. It also works with the lightning theming of the ring itself. It would become the new SOJ, and we need a new one of those to spice things up.

I mean: Barb has Leap: give it better ias/frw scaling the longer the distance is Assa needs no boundary Dragonflight: less to none cooldown, or make it as long as a Shadowmaster is active Dragonflight has no cooldown and can be 'cast' with no enrmy around. Necro needs something like PoE's Bodyswap (kind of Teleportation with Corpses): and an option to spawn detonatable corpses (not by enemies though therefore with less damage granted for detonating corpses skills). Druid needs an Element teleport: either like PoE's Lightning Warp or give it to Cyclone Armor while there are Tornados/Twister active you are able to port to them (needs testing but the Druid need something less clunky; Shapeshifting needs more frw, especially Werewolf. Also be able to call Summons to your location like a Warcry with extra boni for 3-5 seconds) Amazon doesn't need Teleport imo: She needs something like a charge/leap attack for Javs, and more frw support for bow/crossbows - I like to be fast, and somewhat dodging enemy attacks with Bowa. But most importantly give Quivers, and Bolts auto refill already. Paladin: this one is kind of tricky, because Pala has got Charge skill already but it sucks most of the time while it is efficient enough before Enigma. If someone has an idea do not hesitate. Sorc: Teleport with no boundaries + no cooldown period - as it is. My two cents on Teleport debate.

Project diablo 2 private mod has all these changes, such a nice QoL feature. D2R graphics are really nice though, but pd2 recently got 60 fps hd update which helps. Good luck farming my friend :)

I think changing the BK ring from being a unique to adding a third/final set bonus to the BK swords. Which breaks physical immune, +150 dmg, and some magic find. Let’s pimp out the MF whirlwind barb.

My suggestion for Tyreals Might. Given how rare it is...give it level 20 fanatiscm, and level 20 conviction. Then every character in the game would have some use for it, even if its just on the merc. Adding the teleport suggested in the video would also make it sweet as well.

Not an item change but I love for the 3 minute time limit on revives be removed and poison dagger gets changed to poison "weapon" so it could be used with any weapon.

Unique archon staff is the only unique item I've personally never found, and I think it should have more +to skills or more -res / % damage, or maybe roll with sockets like tomb reaver.. if a sorc is using a 2 handed weapon and sacrificing using a shield, then you should get more damage output for that sacrifice I think...

In the private server Project Diablo 2, the paladin skill Sacrifice has been reworked to corpse explosion on kill. Additionally it applies any overkill dmg into the explosion, very cool.

One super unique change I think could be really cool is for Runemaster Ettin Axe: Give something extra for slotting runes into it. Maybe that would be increasing the effectiveness of the runes or it could give a different bonus for each rune. This could make it an interesting choice on par with runewords.

I suggest that the skill level of charges actually gets enhanced by the weilder's + to all skills. This way the currently useless charges can get up to a useable level. We could allow some ability for them to receive synergies as well -- like any item worm with any +skills on it would provide two points to all its available synergies. Most importantly though, we should introduce a system which grants charge-refills, perhaps +1 charge every three minutes and also on percentage chance on kill. P.S. Also make it so that revives from charged weapons don't disappear on weapon-swap. They should still remain since the item is in a sense still being worn.

Melee guy here. Yeah I would looove to see all the elite tier weapons and armors get reworked to compete with the high end rune words. I personally want them to crank stormlash to god tier, because its super cool and its one of the rare chances melee characters get to do splash damage. As a zealer I would also love to see them rework Alma Negra and either load it up with all the things melees care about, or maybe give it nice resistance, and make it 4 open sockets so you can do whatever you want with it.

Think one change I would like to see is rare rings being able to roll +1 in class tree skills, it would make it more possible to roll really valuable rings for rare that could compete with ring of Jordan or bul kathos wedding band, while still not being still not being able to get flat +1 skill bonus overall they give, I think it open for much broader options with builds too. But think they should do unique and green set overhaul in general so some more unique and green could compete better with some the runewords.

Solid 4-point rare rings are already better than soj or bk. 5 or 6-point rings are on another planet. A gg 6-point ring is worth about 500 sojs. If a player thinks rare rings need buffs to compete with soj, then that player has a lot to learn about this game. :)

Great suggestions re: CBF and Teleport, Rends etc. One of the key mistakes I see Blizzard making is not adding a range to the modifiers on runewords. I think anything new brought into the game needs to have a variance, in order for perfect to be sought, not obtained, first time, every time. The Hustle Runeword should really have have FRW and IAS ranges vary The proposal in this video re Steelrends should really have an IAS range (varies) and for Tyreals I liked that 0 level requirements but another option would be 1-4 sockets (or something like that) It might be a thought to start hoarding specific set or unique items that may get changed in future patches.

Some runewords could use a bit of love too. For example, Principle requires a Gul but only gives level 5 Holy Bolt on striking. Wind requires a Sur but only gives level 9 Tornado. Bump those levels up and they become more interesting.

Sets should get bonuses when upgraded and end game upgrades like teleport on a set should be unlocked with a high rune upgrade requirement like jah, ber, cham, zod. This increases the desire for some of these rare runes while also making the sets more worth while to run over runewords. I would also like to see sets like cathans upgrade to end game fire, naj end game lightning, arcana cold, etc. This would be really cool for build synergy as well. Imagine these super underutilized starter sets upgrading into huge elemental or physical damage buffers for builds. I would also like to see elite bases compete with end game upgrades. I think you should be able to up windforce for more damage, thunderstroke for more -lightning, more +skill on a unique. There is no reason they can't let us improve items to compete with runewords for an appropriate cost.

Adding Teleport to a large library of items would drastically devalue the Enigma. I do think having one other chest w/ Teleport should be an option but it should also be some what difficult to acquire. Imagine everyone just teleporting around D2.

make a recipe to convert mav bow into matriarchal spear, also have the bow drop as a matriarchal bow instead of grand matron for that extra speed. yeah, i could go all day with this stuff, increase tal set cast rate bonus' to add another 30%, change ik maul into legendary hammer(one hander), allow all set items to roll eth also.

It would be great if they would make griswolds weapon better a few ways they could do this 1) add indestructable to it due to its low durability 2) have it always drop with 4 sockets due to its rarity 3) give it better bonuses when other parts of the set are used with it (Example 20% chance of deadly strike when full set is equipped) Imortal King is a great set as it is the only changes I would make to it are 1) change the + cold damage on the weaopn to Ignore targets defense 2) Change the attack freezes target on the gloves to cannot be frozen and 3) add MF based on character level as a bonus for equipping the full set as those changes would make the set better for use on the find item Barb build we also need to look at individual set parts not only partial and full set bounses In terms of uniques I would make Arcanes Valor better by 1) making it always drop with +2 all skills 2) add a +50% all resist 3) add cannot be frozen I would also make Skullders Ire better by adding cannot be frozen, +35% all resist, and have it give +1 or +2 skills (Currently what Valor has for skills due to valor always getting the +2) I disagree with the adding +1 teleport as a bonus for equipping a full set as that really does not make sense cause most sets suck in general if you want to make sets a more viable option you need to first buff the individual parts to give incentive to actually use them even granting +1 teleport as a full set bonus would not make sets see more use as the parts and their set magic bonuses are trash for many of the sets

Pd2 has so many great examples of the kind of updates to uniques and the kind of runewords that will help d2r to survive and thrive. Look up the ferocity runeword- 12% Chance to Cast Level 10 Taunt on Striking Indestructible +20% Faster Hit Recovery [10-12]% Life Stolen per Hit +[8-10] to Zeal +[150-200]% Enhanced Defense Magic Damage Taken Reduced by [6-12] Cannot Be Frozen Attacker Takes Damage of [200-250] I dont like the taunt proc,because id rather have amp up, but besides that this item is the sort of juice d2r needs. It wont break the game, it wont have people whining like they do over grief or enigma, but it would open so many doors to unusual build opportunities- the kind that have kept me playing this incredible game for 20 years. Id have a stroke if the devs gave us something like this as a capstone piece to their pile of meh-helmets from the last patch. It fn astounds me how bad they are at listening. That bk sword update is either a resounding proof of their incompetence or a foreshadowing of good things to come. Hopefully they keep updating things,and grow a pair of balls while theyre doing it- blizzard is playing too safe. Casual runewords for casual players,nothing that will breathe life into the game for the veterans who they are afraid of pissing off. Id rather be pissed than underwhelmed- hustle almost got to be a good prebuff stick and in attempting to turn it into a mainhand weapon,they turned it into a shitty prebuff stick.

I stopped playing D2 after 19 years but i had some ideas back then - Bring back 08 valk stats for an elite helm (diadem maybe) - The +1 teleport for elite sets is not really interesting for me, but a lvl 1-5 aura for each completed elite class specific sets (what helps the character) could be an interesting idea. Like lvl 5 Might on IK set or lvl 1 Conviction on Tal set, etc... - Tyrael's Might should get +3 all skills. That way you could at least make a build around it and it wouldn't really break the game. We all agree the biggest drawback of Tyrael's is the fact, it's not really very good in any aspect or build. Has some nice stats but beaten in every way for a specialized character. Like Vipermage, a lvl 29 unique is WAY better for any caster and Fortitude just overshadows it in every melee build. - BUT the most important thing to what bothered me for more than 10 years.... MAKE ELITE NECRO HEADS BE ABLE TO GET 4 SOCKETS!!!

Instead of chaining half freeze duration on items why not make it additive ergo if you have two half freeze duration items on you have cannot be frozen. That opens up many combo of items to get a needed attribute in melee.

I would love to see Tyrael's Might get its level requirement removed, it would effectively become the leveling armor for a lot of builds, while not really replacing any late-game alternatives. It would also become fairly valuable as a result... I've always imagined it having some angelic themed visual or power, but the level requirement is probably the least intrusive change.

Oh, I've been wishing for an ias ring with a socket in it, forever! Imagine if a ring like manald got a socket and what type of socket it was(weapon/armor/shield), was randomised. While this ring would not break the game, it would make a ring that is just ignored, something to help get the last ias breakpoint, catch up on resist, max Res and so on. That would be awesome for a ring that is quite useless. It's not game breaking as I see it, because you have to leave raven/soj/bk/fcr/abs ring in the stash to use it. I think the trade-off isn't that insane, but it will add variety and I would love it. Big fan bro

Think D2 also needs to update the end game PD2/POE maps and slamming items imo give longevity to the game, as someone who isnt liking where D4 is going and rpobably going to stick to D2R would def love to see them make these type of changes as well.

How about a runeword for Necro shrunken heads? They sneak in tele on it, easily. I'm a big fan of bringing back 1.08 versions of items in a limited time manor as well.

i agree with the 100% requirements to get rid of lvl requirements too, and the indestructible items to be able to roll eth. but i think some items just need more holes. f teleport on everything i wanna see more holes in sets and uniques. like give grandfather 3sockets with nats claw ik armour etc might not even need to be solid 3 could be 0-4 so you can get trash tier versions to get your foot in the door. plus i want to see an early unique jav, and frw and fcr jewels. then maybe later some crushing blow and deadly strike jewels. have em caped at 5% to it doesn't outshine the runes. plus i wanna arreat summit style menu for runeword lists and such with favorites or bookmarks so you can tab through different recipes easily. but if they do it wrong ill hate it and never use it.

I would suggest them to make a 1% chance of the unique items to be identified as the 1.08 Unique items, that could also be fun... imagine finding an unique and hoping that the item could roll legacy 1.08 version... that would add so much value to the unid items in the economy and would be a really fun way of adding one RNG layer to the game... Those would be like 'super uniques' having the 1.08 version of arkaine's valor and other uniques that were super cool back than

Got my nova/es sorc absolutely dominating leveling and TZ, 8 players and I can run everything myself no issues. Id love to see a new runeword shield, maybe plus 1 skill but most importantly, with like +1-6 find item. Have it be meant to be used on switch with a cta. Still wouldnt be as high of a level as a barb, so barbs wouldnt be useless, same as cta, but would be an awesome addition.

I would consider to do something with a Zod and Cham runes, rare runes which are totally useless. They could think about them. Like 10 cham runes allows you to craft a new item which gives u 25% to revive after you died in hardcore xD

Steel rend could even stay no ias, if it had 25% cb, and 80-100 ed,if not more. At 10%cb a decent pair of blood gloves are almost always going to be better. An amp ctc would make it the offense counterpart to dracs.

Astreon’s is a decent Tesladin wep if you use an Infinity Merc. Even Non Eth with a Ber rune can really help vs single target, and the AR bonus combined with Conviction and Fana is better for hitting bosses and elites than Grief.
