The 50-60% price increases to subsidize the electrojunk is the problem. Cut the prices in half and ditch the electrojunk. Simple fix. You’re welcome.

There are not enough rich people who want to buy a 6 figure Ram Truck, Jeep Grand Wagoneer, or Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. People who have that kind of money want a vehicle that they can brag about and show off their money (i.e. Tesla Truck or Range Rover). Instead of selling a small number of cars to rich people. They need to sell a lot of cars to average people who want them. In order to do that they need to manufacture and sell the vehicles at a cheaper price. With current interest rates I believe average people are able to afford a vehicle that cost between $30k to $60k. The vehicle also needs to be reliable and well built at that price. The Auto makers will need to self finance at an interest rate that is under 5% (3% for people with excellent credit scores) and stretched out to 6 to 7 years. In order to sell their vehicles.

What's happening is the Greedy Stelantis bastards are getting their chops busted by fed up customers. The cost of vehicles need to be chopped by Half. Stop selling high end over priced upgrades that are over priced upgrades at 90%. Fortunately BYD may be coming to Canada, should kick start cheap competition. All new vehicles should be sold as base models only, Auto, Air, power windows and doors, that's it Any further upgrades should be sold at the dealer and installed by the dealer. This creates more profit opportunities and more work for people. Automakers shouldn't be in the customization market, just make the base cars and let dealers do the rest. Yeah if someone wants a custom design engine, tranny and body options, sure let the factory do that. Like the old days 60'-80's.

Just go build a metal small stick shift auto that has no tech. My phone has everything I need. Give me hand crank windows and all the parts over the years you made that didn’t BRAKE. It’s simple.

If I need to get a new car, I am buying a restored classic from 1965 to 1974. It will run on gas, no computer required for service and I can work on it myself. Not to mention the same or lower cost to buy.

BS. Theses are blue collar brands not luxury brands. That’s a tragic business mistake.

The over a billion dollar bailout is not a government bailout as the government does not provide a product or service for profit. We the taxpayers pay the bills.
