it was very interesting to see the whole nut manufacturing process. I didn't know they were made of ordinary rebar.
@taxicamel2 жыл бұрын
Not much even close to "interesting" considering there is no automation. Just pick up something and put it into a machine. Nuts are not made of rebar in North America. Rebar is the lowest steel quality and full of garbage called inclusions. Assuming the video has shown everything, no one has bothered to check anything ...including the "finished thread". With the sloppiest thread class being "class 1" ....if there is no thread testing, then these nuts could not be given or graded as class 1. BUT .....for what they have to work with, this group is doing an amazing job. You would have a hard time finding a productive group like this in North America ...or even Europe. .

It sure is! At 7:30 you can see the hands of someone that has worked there for a month too long since the finger has healed past its bleeding stage but camel man is spoiled now, that he has lived outside of his camel village for over a month, to give his fellow neighbor men a bad name

Bolts, nuts and washers have various grades. These are made out of very soft steel, a bit better than found in a Chinese product. They would be suitable for low stress application. They would be totally inappropriate for mechanical or weight stress and any exterior applications.

@12villages2 жыл бұрын
It is produced the same way in indian cottage factories also. Quality is low but appropriate for most common uses. There are also modern assembly lines that produce high quality parts but priced accordingly. Old and modern forgeries exist side by side.

Although the Hard Work and Skill of Workers is highly appreciable, even they are not provided PPEs, there is a look of Backwardness in the set up in today's age. There is no Inspection and quality control of manufactured components and no control, Material Composition is not being considered at least these Components be Heat Treated after Completion of manufacturing as Nuts and Bolts are the Most Responsible Components in a Mechanical System; the manufacturers should pay attention on these few Tips as well.

There is no "backwardness" in anything they are doing. They are processing in the logical order and getting everything done that needs to be done and would be done in a modern facility. The steps are very simple and basic. Agreed, no quality steps have been shown. I'm sure no one is concerned about the material composition. Rebar is rebar. It is the lowest grade of steel ...and I would assume they all know this in consideration alone of the material cost .....CHEAP. But what are you talking about "Heat Treated after Completion of manufacturing"??? I saw no heat treating taking place AFTER completion. Go ahead an identify the mark in this video that shows this. Also, this is rebar ....sometimes called "pig steel". There is no alloying in this steel, so there is no need to "heat treat" after manufacturing because there is no work-hardening or stresses induced into this material to begin with. Go ahead, look it up. Please, go ahead and explain your "Heat Treat" statement. .

It amazes me how everyone on the internet is an expert and a jerk on every topic. One jerk makes comments to another jerk who calls his comments stupid. So much time and energy spent on nothing, accomplishing nothing. Achieving nothing. But then again, here I am.... When they dig us up, they will certainly shake their heads and say, how did they get so stupid and self destructive, so fast.

Reasonably well-thought out processing steps, and simplified as best as possible ....but about as archaic as could be considering it is 2022. A group of very hard working people ...with no safe practices in place. Considering what they have to work with .....quite impressive .....but the end product would NEVER be accepted in either North America or Europe. It wouldn't meet the lowest of standards. .
