I’m thankful you mentioned what’s not good about soaker hoses. I was considering them this year. I will look into the drip tape. I may go above ground on areas that are already planted and below seeds/transplants of what has yet to go in the ground. This is great information. Thank you!

I had 5/8” soaker hoses for over 15 yrs and am replacing them now with drip tubing, will try drip tape this year. Soaker hoses did do a good job, longer than I thought they would last!

Thanks for video. I just got the Jr Kit. As far as above or below, I was wondering same, but I have seen little feed back, that under the ground cloth seems to help prevent rodents from chewing on drip tape as much. I 'm like you, will probable try both.

It works. Just turn on the water. I have another video where we put together a system in the greenhouse.......kzbin.info/www/bejne/a17alGOEoLVob5Y. Poly tubing is 1/2". Drip tape is 1/2". I don't use totes, so I don't know. It would be all about water pressure. How high is the tote? and how much water is in it? etc.

I wish you had an included a link directly to the drip tape in your store. Instead you sent us to the store where I finally found a little tiny link that leads you to the items you recommend. No where to search that I could see so I just had to scroll and scroll and scroll looking for the drip tape. I want to support your channel but it’s too much of a pain in the patutie To go on a hunting expedition. Hope you fix the link to take us directly to whatever you’re talking about. Good luck!

Hello. Yes, we still use it and it works great. Having emitters under the fabric helps to eliminate uneven watering.

why are you having the drip tape face up, wouldn't it work better facing down toward the ground?

There is more potential for it to get clogged face down. Also, the width of the tape helps to distribute the water better when the emitter is faced upwards.
