Went with the same shocks on my project 91 YJ. Thank you so much for the helpful video! I was able to get all four done in a couple of hours. I've learned and used many of your videos to fix my YJ. Keep up the excellent work Dale!

Yeah. Many brands are having issues because of the craziness going on. Mine took 2 months to arrive.

Love your videos. Thanks for the info it makes it a lot easier when you watch someone else do the job first. I have a 1991 YJ I’m about to tear down to the frame and rebuild. It will be my first project of this magnitude. Thanks again

Question , going to put shocks on my 93 YJ , Bilstein speaks for itself. For the cost of the Quadratec shocks may just be the better deal .Jeep has almost 200K .I would be saving almost $200 . Seen both of your videos . What is your overall pick since you had had both on your jeeps?

How did you release the lock on the shocks so they expand? Mine were shipped fully compressed and I can't figure out how to extend them. Update: found out they aren't locked, they just don't expand by themselves like every other shock I've messed with.

:) replaced my suspension a few months ago. you have 8.5 minutes showing how to do it; mine was rusted, and rusted and rusted; a total of 20 hours of heating, hammering, grinding and cussing for 4 springs and 4 shocks on my YJ....and it's not even that rusty.

Dang! Yeah. Sometimes it can be a pain. Top nut have me some issues. Contemplated taking cut off wheel too it, but got it after a bit. I think I mentioned that in the video.

Hey Dale, few questions on suspension for you. We have a 92 YJ / 2.5 / 5spd / Soft Top. Currently stock height, our goal is to stay stock height but are having a hard time finding a leaf spring kit. On this video you show a 5-leaf pack up front and a 4-leaf pack in the rear, our's is opposite and I believe ours it to be correct, can you confirm? This is more of a daily driver than anything, is there a big difference between the 5-leaf and 6-leaf packs? Also shocks and tires, we have KYB gas adjust now. For tires we have stock height 205/75/15 and current plans to go up one size 215/75/15. Watch and enjoy your videos very much. Thank you.

Great choice!!!! I put those on my 94 wrangler last year. It’s running a Rancho 2.5” lift with 9000 adjustable ones. The shocks were worn out and bombing the ranch it rode like Sh$t..., the new Hydros are Great shocks for the $$$. It rides so good now.
@matthewsipe89054 жыл бұрын
Do those shocks actually ride well or was it just better then the old ones?? I have RC and they suck..
@JeepSolid4 жыл бұрын
Nice! The reviews on these are pretty good
@davemiller30274 жыл бұрын
Matthew Sipe I thank they are better quality than my old ones that were made in 96. I’m really happy with them. We use our Jeep on the ranch for tones of chores to running to town to haul 400 pounds of feed every two weeks.
