X-Ray girl is correct, Disney will learn all of the wrong lessons if this does well, they will just keep using nostalgia and cameos instead of getting good writers for new characters. NWH is nostalgia/cameos, X-men 97 is nostalgia. Guardians 3 was nostalgia, a finale for a movie from a better time. They will do the same thing for Secret Wars. Expect tons of cameos/nostalgia. They even try it with new characters. She Hulk had Wong, abomination and Daredevil. It just works better with popular characters. Disney will keep relying on things that were well received in the past instead of writing good stories. This happens at Lucas films also. They keep using Anakin, Vador, Luke and other older characters.

@@zaktookthis1341 I'm having some trouble expressing myself in a way that doesn't come across as me being a dick, so please read this in the best possible light. If you're enjoying the MCU since End Game, i hope you continue to enjoy it. Sincerely. But, to me, Wanda Vision started with incredible potential, but it ended with a wet fart. Loki started out with a little potential and i couldn't even bring myself to finish it. I haven't watched anything since then. I've been following the MCU through the reviews and comments on Nerdrotic, Geeks & Gamers, Critical Drinker, and others. The exception being Guardians of the Galaxy vol 3, i watched and enjoyed that. I knew at the time that time travel would wreck the MCU when they brought it into End Game, but it was still a good movie. And since then they have done all the things that i was afraid of, all the things that made me leave comics in the 90's. There are no mistakes that you can't just go back in time to fix, and no one ever dies when you can just find another one in an alternate dimension. They're going to have to do something to permanently wall off the multiverse and block time travel to bring back real steaks to the story. I just don't think they have story tellers good enough to do that or an executive team willing to cut off an eternal supply of alternate characters. Wow......sorry about the wall of text. And again, if you're enjoying the MCU, then ignore me and continue enjoying it.

A quick search on Marvel Fandom Wiki shows that Cassandra Nova's whole shtick was super lame because the writers weren't even competent enough to not only write a compelling enough original setup for her story but also figure out ways to depict her as a believably credible long-term villain in the same vein as Magneto or even Mr. Sinister.

This is the second time in half a decade. I am actually wanting to watch a Marvel movie. Last one was Spider-Man no Way home, and before that was endgame. Even obscure shows like FX’s legion which was so dam creative and good, and even shows like agent carter and agents of shield. Every single show and movie. But I honestly can’t tell you a single thing about phase 4 and 5. It’s almost like it’s not part of MCU. It’s amazing just how bad it got. This is what happens when you hire creatives based on their DNA instead of their talent, skills and experience. Marvel took a nose dive after the government along with blackrock and vanguard type firms started incentivizing DEI initiatives. It has not only destroyed western entertainment but practically every sector and industry. It’s infected western video games too. This is why if you look at my gaming library or Netflix history it looks like I live in Japan and South Korea lol. 87% of western entertainment is complete propaganda woke horse shit.

I am huge Deadpool fan, and of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine. However I cannot bring myself to buy ticket for this movie because every dollar earned Disney will just use to fund more work garbage. Save your money. Pirate it. Edit: to the people for some reason defending Disney saying this will “open their eyes to what’s good”. Why would you think that? Guardians 3 was the only profitable superhero movie (marginally) and did Disney change their trajectory? No instead they dropped the Marvels, Gender Swapped Black Panther, Echo, and other garbage. They are still planing on doing Sam Wilson Captain America, a show all about the female wakanada warriors, and Echo follow up, a daredevil show that follows events of She-Hulk and Echo, an Agatha show, and Iron Heart. These are the projects your money will go to funding regardless if Deadpool succeeds or flops. Disney will change nothing.

It is still very much a deapopl movie before a Disney/Fiegie movie. Read up about how hard Ryan and his team have been fighting to keep this the same Deadpool from fox. This trailer doesn't seem like a disney trailer. It seems like a DP trailer. The jokes, the cussing, the awesomely choreographed fight scenes, the bloody action, ect. It all feels like DP. I didn't see any signs of a Watered down Disneyfied DP movie. This trailer showed exactly what it needed to ease most people's nerves about Disney owning fox and DP now and it didn't show any big plot points or give potential spoilers. Ryan Reynolds loves this character and is very passionate. He isn't going to let disney fxxk it up without a fight. I trust him and this trailer just proves to me more that this is in the same style as pre disney DP. I hate Disney. I hate any company forcing a woke agenda on us in entertainment. When they force it on us it serves no purpose to the story or add to the movie in any way. It is just to push the woke agenda. I hate any company like that. There is no need to put their views and politics in entertainment. Disney is one of the worst at it and their movies and shows have taken a drop in story telling and quality. The characters are boring and uninteresting and they are trying to put out way too many shows and movies with a noticable drop in quality from the cgi to the stories. Pre endgame they had maybe 85percent hits 15 miss. Now it's the opposite and that is with more shows and movies in less time. Maybe this movie will make them rethink their strategy.. I doubt it though. As long as this movie is great and I know it will be idgaf about the mcu enough to care what the other movies do. They did NWH right and this movie looks to be another great one. They can't fxxk this up though. I don't think Ryan will let them. I'm sure before he signed on to be the mcu deadpool he painstakingly read through the contracts and fought and negotiated to keep as much control as he could and to be able to have a huge say so in the script and the way dp is.

The "overuse" of F-bombs feels, to me, like a response to the first trailer's reaction. People thought it would be a soft R, with only some naughty words, and this was to show that they have more freedom than we might've thought under Disney. So long as this is the writers doing their thing, because Deadpool has been a success on both outings, and Disney isn't an obstruction, then this will be good. But it will not fix the MCU. Not unless Deadpool kills everyone and ends the universe. It is broken beyond repair. Their only active A-lister is Spider-Man and he's with Sony. The Fantastic Four is untested, and Pedro is not who most would want as Reed. The new X-Men are unknown, and we don't know how much we'll be invested. Cap and Iron Man could potentially come back but the actors will ask a pretty penny, but will the fans flock back? Will the stories be better? Will their returns just be cheap one-offs, breaking the audience's trust even more? I'd like to see Ryan Reynolds continue with Deadpool because I think him and his writing team can do another movie or two. But he isn't the face of the MCU, and he shouldn't be. Though, if this is the last one, a final hurrah with Hugh Jackman's Wolverine is a hell of a send-off.

Completely agree with Xray Girl: If this holds true to Ryan Reynolds' vision then it will be a hit...but Dizney will take the wrong lessons from it and green light 4-5 new M-she-U films with a cumulative production cost of $2B, marketing of close to $2B and ultimately a loss of at least $2B. DP&W will be the exception that proves the rule. Let's see how far they get before bankruptcy.

i think the bald woman is Moon Dragon, not Polaris. Telepathy, telekinesis, super strength and martial arts. There’s at least two different Wolverines in the trailer. Covered/uncovered arms, big whisker chops/more closely shaved and possibly de-aged. I did wonder if the stubble, sleeveless version might also have a mask at some point.

They ARE in the End of Time 'Void', Renslayer MAY come back, More than likely, Mauler has it right with Wong, not Strange (too high profile). The TVA guy that speaks to DP & Wolvie is quite potentially supposed to be the 'secret' baddie, getting the TVA back to mean, nasty and not pleasant after Loki taking control of the timelines. I think there is a level of sincerity that will exist in this movie that will lift it up quite significantly for me. This seems like Ryan Reynolds and the people behind this actually are embracing how much they love the source material and these characters and want that to resonate with fans. Unlike so much of what we have been getting

This film won't fail. From what was gathered through an interview with Reynolds, Feige told Reynolds the story needed to be a sure thing. Reynolds retouched the script many times until Feige said he had a winner. Now if this film does fail, it's all Feige's fault for letting Reynolds do multiple rewrites of the story, which means Feige should not be allowed to have a say on scripts anymore, but if this film does succeed, then Feige knew what he was talking about from the beginning and he must be acknowledge for it. You can't give total credit to Reynolds if Deadpool and Wolverine succeed, especially if Reynolds prior story ideas were terrible. So fingers cross for a very good or great story. In this day and age, good stories aren't good enough anymore, they have to be very good or great.

I heard in another thread that there is a fight between Ryan Reynolds and Feige and Iger. Reynolds wants a longer movie that includes scenes he feels are very important for the Wolverine character. Iger and Feige want it cut down with those scenes cut out.
