I appreciate the time you take to reply to not just a reader of yours, but an new author. Even simple connections you make with a reader can turn that reader into a lifelong follower, reading everything you write. The human connection shouldn't be discounted and if you farm out all of your marketing, what little ways are you interacting with your reader? I do agree an author has to have balance and can only afford to spend so much time on social media in order for them to creative and enjoy their lives in other ways.
