'No one knows how long it takes to do nothing' i always say this to myself and this video reminded me of that. Usually when the jobs done and its something simple (like if the only issue was switched governor lines) everyone starts to assume simple solutions are easy solutions. Once the issue is found and resolved everyone thinks the job is just swapping the bad part, no one remembers the hours you spent checking off the parts that are good.

Sh*t happens, I always like to take pictures or mark lines. Air systems can be a pain in the ass. More so on trucks, some of the valves can be manufacture specific parts. Changed a quick release valve on a single axle Ford last week. I knew just looking at it, I knew it would be obsolete. Sure as shit it is. The parts guy I use it took some digging to find one for me. I hate doing warranty work 😂 the boss is giving you the look because I ****ed up the diag the first go around. Luckily, I only work on company owned equipment.

That's a econ valve! It pressurizes the charge line between the dryer and the compressor. It's needed on some specific holset Compressors. The reason is the piston in the compressor needs to be at the bottom of its stroke otherwise it will pump oil. I did away with this style valve on my kenworth. Instead you can just drill and tap the dryer housing(ad9) into the inlet port, then add a T on the outlet that has a 1/8" npt branch. Insert a check valve that feeds the inlet port/pressure line(the hole you drilled and tapped) from the outlet port(the 1/2x1/2/1/8" npt tee you added).
