Human Racing Player Frame Set Challenge

Human Racing sent them those rigs, the ones they race in and the ones for the contest, for the purpose of sponsoring the show & this contest according to a previous show. I agree the HR chassis is still ridiculously priced for what you get but can't fault ISR for doing the contest for their sponsor.

I think you posted a reasonable question which could easily be answered and justified if the answer was: The Obutto is more expensive or you can't mount any seat on the Obutto or the Obutto is not adjustable for lenght/height or only certain wheels/pedals will fit. "You sometimes get what you pay for" is spot on in my opinion. Only so far it seems to me that the cheaper deal is actually the one to go for.

People are entitled to choice and opinion and we prefer the HR Chassis to the Obutto. The obutto is a great all in one rig if that's what you're going for. No style and it's kinda comfortable with lots of additions. The HR chassis is stylish and more comfortable and fits with out platforms. Both are great, we prefer Human Racing

I got the Evo too, shipped it all the way to Australia as well, but if I had the spare cash, that Human Racing chassis is very desirable. Comparing costs is like saying why race F1 when you can race FFord instead. Different strokes etc.

All seats have their pros and cons, and this seat has a little bit of both. Yes it is pricey, but its very light and is made out of different materials compared to other sim rigs.

I appreciate the show concept! Using a quality chassis to build a great rig at a more sensible cost. HR puts out a great product but they are a lil pricey... but worth every penny in my mind. I loved the show guys - keep 'em comin!!

I would like to hear the reasoning behind that statement. Since the HR and the Obutto are both adjustable frames where a seat, wheel, pedals, keyboard holder, monitor stands and shifters can be mounted I would think that there are in fact a lot of comparisons that could easily be made. The style/looks are a matter of taste. Addressing mounting options, rigidity and comfort only: What would qualify the HR rig as a superior product?

Agreed. Human Racing = Ripoff. These things need to be affordable, we are not running pro race teams, we are armchair stoners who love sim racing.

A bit off topic but can someone explain safety rating on iracing. On time trials I usually get around +0.06 if I don't have an incident but last night I got +0.44. How the fudge did the sr jump so high?

There is no comparing the comfort between an Obutto and a properly setup Human Racing. You sometimes get what you pay for. How many hours do you spend in your simrig? Is comfort and style not worth anything?

Well, there should be choices, and they did a good job for what they had. However, if they would have used an Obutto Ozone, which is 349 now, it would be ready to go for 1/3 of those prices, iff you are going for cheap/good/ready to use. I agree is it a great rig for the price when compared to the show's setup.

I was like O.O when I saw the price... $850 for only the chassis? Oh my, that is expensive. You can get almost two obutto ozones with that price, or go straight to obutto r3volution.

I know, right? I'm so glad I got the Obutto. Comes with everything and really cheap. The price for the rig in the video it TOTALLY unacceptable. For 850 $ you only get a piece of metal. Totally ridiculous!!

I bought a HumanRacing thanks to InsideSimRacing-recommendation and I am happy I did so. The seat is much better than the others in terms of comfort and I love the adjustability. The frame also is VERY stable and doesn't flex around or rattle like on the Obutto or other cheaper ones. An important feature if you got a heavy CSW-Base mounted to it.

Holy cow the money people spend, The GT OMEGA EVO @ £244 is awesome, great fully ajustable seat solid construction well recommend. How can you consider over £500 just for the frame

You gave the Obutto r3volution a 10 out of 10. Most other rigs on the market are more adjustable than the HR. That you pay more for better looks, higher build quality or maybe more comfort is right. But how much better has the HR to be, to justify this rediculous price? The r3volution then must be build like crap, because it offers so much more (including monitor stand) but cost so much less. Just wondering...

I stand corrected. Maybe I was too harsh and a bit temperamental:) Don't get me wrong - it looks pretty. Without having all the facts I just don't see the practical benefit of buying this particular rig at this price point versus pretty much anything else available at the market that is priced similarly.
