Hummer H3 door handle and lock replacement.

Excellent video! I had to replace a handle and bracket yesterday just like in the video. Both the lock and latch rods will snap into place after the bracket is installed wit the hefp of a screwdriver and perhaps a needle nose through the round hole in the side. I put a dab of lithuim grease on the new door latch rod retained to make it easier to push the rod into place.

Did the locksmith charged you too much for the new handle and lock? The fob and lock on my Hummer are not working, and I wonder what could it be more expensive.

A new handle and lock still would have to be keyed. I got this handle and lock cylinder from a wrecker

Also like the hood emblem wrap, can the look tumbler come out without removing the handle- possible to remove without breaking things/ I don't have any new parts. Thanks for the video now I know what to expect.

Thx No the lock is part of the assembly. I mean, yeah the tumbler can be removed from it, but you need to remove the assembly to get at it. It should be possible to remove everything without breaking it.....I just got impatient lol

It appears that the door panel does not have to come off to replace the exterior handle, just remove the bolt behind the plug. Am I correct? This is a very good video!

Yes, I replaced the broken part that holds it open.... Actually really easy to do when the interior panel is off
